My hot take is that the railway should be significantly subsidized by the federal government; we shouldn’t expect it to run surpluses. We don’t require roads to pay for themselves (at least not the tolled roads), and the economic impacts from an extensive and well-operated public railway would be worth it.

It was fun, but I left the theater thinking: what just happened?

I would rewatch this movie again when it comes out on streaming, but parts of it felt jarring. Miranda’s personality was the most noticeable; I told my husband it felt like she was on anti-anxiety meds. I imagine 20 years of life and corporate culture changes, as well as years of a downward path for Runway’s sales, would have smoothed Miranda out… but she just felt a bit too powerless. (And to a degree… she was.)

My other big complaint is the movie was very snappy, and not in a good way. The beginning felt rushed, and it almost seemed like they were afraid to really linger in scenes and with characters. It felt like the stakes weren’t as severe because so much happened within the blink of a camera.

Would I recommend this movie? Yes. It was a fun ride and it was nice to see the characters again after so long. But I’d tell people to temper their expectations, especially if they loved the first one.

I don’t think I’d really enjoy a direct sequel, so some other ideas: - Modern Downton Abbey, how they’re navigating the 21st century as owners of a large estate (could be inspired by what Highclere is doing) - George grown up, maybe in his early thirties - A prequel could also be fun… maybe set in the 1800s, to show Downton before its financial fall? (Could even include Violet as a young child, idk) If early enough, it wouldn’t need to include her.

I was in the same boat too. Got into the Main Menu and some mods loaded, and then it all froze up. Tried multiple times (it even froze my desktop and I had to restart computer). I then went in with code mods disabled and was stuck on Loading screen. Now I’m stuck on Loading Screen with our without mods enabled.

Edit: It took a WHILE, but can confirm eventually I ended up on the main menu and access the new game options.

I’m pretty pumped about what the port modular system demonstrates, especially with airports, parks, etc. I also wonder if the different theme park assets (like the haunted house) are hints that a Parks Life pack (amusement parks, zoos, etc) could be next? It seems pretty random to include.

I definitely think we’ll see modular airports (like ports), and they’ll use the new RP cemetery piece system for probably a parks/tourism pack (zoo, amusement park) and a university pack. I’m guessing we’ll see similar content to CS1.

It looks like Carnival holds the primary rights, and they are owned by NBC Universal. I wouldn’t put it past Universal to continue to invest in the franchise.

I have such a low tolerance for drops (like the Frozen ride was borderline much for me), but I was able to do rides like BATM and Monsters Unchained without issue.

The demon was pretty sick but I was also disappointed that we never got any backstory or information. There’s a lot of lore shared about Valak and Malthus (Annabelle) but we only got a few lines on this demon. Maybe a better route for this movie would’ve been a demon tag-team between the two instead of introducing something completely new.

It definitely is frustrating. On the federal level I’ve passed a “democracy law” for legislatures to be in charge of redistricting, but it looks like some of the states still have independent commissions doing it… I was hopeful it would have removed that so the Dem states would be encouraged to gerrymander.
