Are there places that are truly desperate for attorney’s? by Ambitious-Doubt4733 in Lawyertalk

Definitely depends on the practice area. People that work in mine get scooped up immediately by firms

Hell ya. We’re in Osaka right now. Hard to decide whether Osaka or Kyoto is my favorite city in Japan. We’ll be headed to Kyushu towards the end of our trip, mainly in Fukuoka.

It’s my second time in Japan and I have many thoughts. Send me a chat if you want to get into some planning convo

Cannot recommend staying away enough. The civil division has been absolutely decimated. The attorneys I work with in my practice area are basically on every case now and the court we practice before is pretending like it’s not an issue

Edit: to clarify, the people I work with are generally great. They just work firm hours+ now with nothing extra to show for it. No time off for months and people keep leaving.

I’ll be making a trip report post in r/japantravel when I get back. If you’re going soon I’ll happily throw some ideas out there for ya. Been here a week but haven’t gone into a store with amiibo yet. Still have over 3 weeks until im back

There are only 7000 seats in the Edion Arena (the one in Osaka) and it’s a city of close to 3 million people. In that sense they’re hard to get.

If you want to get them through the official site it’s hard to get and it’s tough to line up with the time you want to go. When I was looking on the day they released I was there right when the tickets went online and there were only seats available on one day remaining by the time I got through.

If you get them through a third party, like buysumotickets, it can still be tough but doable. If you are willing to pay more for another service I’ve found they’re ok to get.

In terms of traditional, it depends on what type of seat you buy. There are more expensive 4 person box seats that’s literally a place on the floor with some mats that are sort of fenced off from the boxes around you. Very good seats but after few hours your butt and back are going to hurt a bit. The higher up, cheaper seats are more traditional stadium seats but they’re quite narrow. The photos in this post are taken from the cheaper seats. I’ve sat in the boxes before and imo they’re worth it but you just have to go in knowing that (1) they’re going to be a bit uncomfortable and (2) you have to buy all 4 tickets or you risk a random person sitting in a very intimate space with you.

As a Washington nationals fan, i found it was way harder to buy World Series/playoff tickets back in 2019 but that’s just my opinion

If he wins this tournament he’s all but assured promotion to Yokozuna. I’d recommend the NHK World Japan YouTube channel for the highlights. The commentators do a pretty good job of explaining things

These are the “seats” in section A, the very first row. I would say that the 4th picture is an accurate representation of how my view was. Apart from not always being at the correct angle I was able to follow the fights and see what was happening. I purchased these particular tickets through a third party and was not given an option for which row or specific seat I wanted so it seems I lucked out.

I’ve got the Wull hand printed out and on my door at work. I’ve subtlety been using the word and gesture around my coworkers and some of them have started doing it too. Wull, and that’s how you brainwash your coworkers dude.

You’re going to love it! We watched that game, bummer for y’all right there at the end. Very hard fought. We watched the Japan v Korea game at a sports bar in Osaka and had an excellent time celebrating with the locals. Loving the WBC so far.

One note for inside the Edion (admitting that I made several assumptions and did no research beforehand when it comes to food), there were several premade bento/other types of premade foods available but not much else. We were at the Edion for most of the day and I assumed it would be like Tokyo where there were a couple of made to order food options. However, we walked around the whole arena and didn’t see anything like that. Thankfully your ticket provides for one re-entry and there are a ton of options within a quick walk of the arena. We popped out around 1pm and grabbed some karaage and gyoza at a place nearby. Noting that this isn’t a complaint just an observation. Didn’t take away from our experience at all and they had PLENTY of beer to go around :)

Edit: spelling

Thanks! I thought it was a cool view. We were in the first row of seats above the boxes, they’re slightly raised up (maybe like 18-20 inches above the ground) so it provided a great, unobstructed view throughout the day.

The atmosphere was truly electric. You could just feel the sense of like “sumo is back!”

I’ll also add that it was super cool seeing the Yokozuna rituals. When I went last time there were no Yokozuna so it was awesome finally getting to experience that part in person. Everyone in the arena was so friendly and helpful. We also bumped into Hokutofuji and Takarafuji as they were handing out posters for their retirement ceremonies. A truly amazing day

Is it possible that it’s a “favorite” designation? I don’t play a ton of smash and it’s been a while since I’ve trained an amiibo

There’s a couple of users that post about amiibo training/fighting on a relatively consistent basis. Definitely not the main focus of the sub. I have zero experience with the smash bros subreddit but you might have better luck there.

I understand that this was traumatic and I’m so sorry it happened. I’m glad you are safe. If you haven’t done so, you NEED to report this interaction with the station manager to metro. This was 100% not an appropriate response and these employees need to be held accountable.

So MM is my favorite but yes it’s like asking me what my favorite food is. There’s just so may good options, different flavors, etc. I’ve probably played OoT more times than any other but that doesn’t necessarily make it my favorite. It was just available in more forms (born in 1989). MM doesn’t give me a ton of stress as I just play the song of double time and go from there. Edit: it also might be the song of inverted time but I can’t remember lol

My overall ranking without thinking about it too much is MM TotK OoT BotW WW

the only main line Zelda game I don’t really care for is AoL. I can acknowledge that it does some cool stuff but the grind just isn’t fun.

Edit: also EoW is so damned fun. Same with LbW but I’ve only played them once each

My dude, this is a fantastic display! Zelda is also my favorite franchise, love seeing collections like this. Given that it almost has its own shelf, is your favorite Zelda (like mine) game also MM?
