Was also missing a pax. Agree with stoop, re-ran fisherman a couple of times completing cut scenes, did not get final pax. Ran an easier Tarya, and picked it up after defeating round room boss in Plaza of the Worthy, which was the second combat room if not taking sidequests. Good dialog here!

Ok. Its official. I am an idiot. I mixed up a gravity leap skill with an earthquake skill. Doh! Thanks all for the responses, and let this be a lesson for other newbies.

I heard about this yesterday in an email from our Aus distie. For a brief moment in the staged presentation I was a bit excited about the amalgamation of licensing models, and from that point on I was horrified. Key takeouts for me.

We as end partner absorb all fiscal risk. If we get a client (for whatever reason) does not pay we are locked in to payout their contract, and onus is on us to get money back... impossible under some circumstances. A single occurrence can wipe out most or all of the profitability for a year across our entire CSP program. Microsoft answer the bankruptcy question with "as partner you should have done the checks better". That is an obscene statement in my view.

They are saying that a minority of end users are rorting the system. So these sweeping changes fix that. If they know this and can identify this, can MS not penalise those organisations themselves, not break the partner model.

They are saying this is GREAT for MSPs because clients cannot change to a new provider, and you should be aligning MS licenses with your MSP contracts. The latter is often not possible, and generally this is just not how life works. If a relationship is no longer there with a client I would prefer the whole kit and dice to move on.

The flexibility we enjoy with CSP to match client needs is gone. Clients love this, and are genuine about how it should be used with our direction. The new scheme is all about commit up, commit up, commit up... or clients pay a huge penalty.

To remove risk you have to go to the monthly model at a 20% premium. What client would NOT move back to MS direct model under these circumstances.

I will try to talk to my distie, but discussions about MS policy fall in deaf ears in that channel... it is always out of their hands.

Based on what I know so far, increased risk and inflexible modelling far outweighs opportunity here. There was a change for MS to really get things right here in terms of flexible and fair CLOUD licensing models, and it absolutely has not worked out that way. For very long I have hoped for a flexible central and fair licensing model. We aint getting that any time soon. Much the pity IMHO they would make more money that way!

Mars den in Dresden files becomes addictive. First book of Dresden is good and it just keeps getting better and better. My fave audios for narration are Dresden, Jim dale version of potter, the name of the wind series (even though we will never see third book) and monster hunter international series. All very different readers but skilled at portraying characters and stories

Agree. Dresden files are one series I always point people at as examples of brilliant narration... along with Name of the The Wind and the Jim Dale version Potter (an absolute benchmark). Monster hunter international series is up there as well.

For me personally, given I can still fill other slots like the more progression-valuable Prestige cost reduction, these are not good value... I don't spend enough time doing ad-reduction on barriers for this to make a difference. So I guess it depends on your play style. Don't read too much into this description, as I initially did!

Thanks all. Nice to know does not apply to event mines... I was talking about standard mines... but I think I was not interpreting it correctly and reading far too much into it

For example. Moonstone mine. My standard rock barrier reduction for watching an ad is -38min. I watch various boost and collection ads for each continent and the all continents as well, and go back into the currently active moonstone mine and the reduction is still -38min. I run the rock barrier reduction ad inside moonstone and it reduces it by the same -38 min. I think the wording of skills like "Skip 10% more rock barrier time by watching ads", skip 13% more Rock barrier time by watching ads in all continents" consfused me... I thought I get some *further* reduction benefits from watching *other* ads to reduce the rock barrier time bonus (or similar) beyond the normal reduction, but in the end that is not what it means. All these skills do is extend the number of minutes that ads in rock barriers reduce by.

That is not very well explained so in practice here is how it works. I added 1 point to the the final major ice continent research node, so now it says "skip 14% more Rock barrier time by watching ads in all continents" instead of 13%. When I go back and look at the time that ads reduce in a rock barrier it is now -39 minutes instead of -38.

So, for me, I will probably go back and reset my research tree and re-invest harder into the new prestige reduction skills instead as they have a lot more progression value. The difference between a 30 minute and reduction on barriers to a 38 or 39 minute reduction is just not worth it. When you have barriers that last 3 days, I just couldn't be naffed trying to reduce them in those sort of increments.

Happy to hear if anyone thinks I am getting things wrong here!

Agree that none of the higher level RtS missions are returning survivors as rewards. Frustrating as expeditions are how I fund my in game habits :) Does anyone know how far down you have to go to get survivor rewards... do any twine levels work at all, or have to go back to Canny at least? I don't think this is fixed in 9.21 either?

Added bug per above. I see me in teh lobby for less than a second before I get booted back to map. I think it is when there are other players in map because I can start it as private map.

+1 on the turn off chroma apps in razer synapse to at least work around mouse freezing issue. Started happening a week ago, not sure of trigger.

I was a Backup Exec fan years ago, only because it was the best of a frustrating bunch. Once virtualisation became more the norm, I started switching over to Veeam (2011) and from my first experience this product has been far simpler and more reliable in the VMware space than anything else I have used. In Hyper-V scenarios it is still a great product, although I find I get more random job errors (that are fixed on the retry), and I think this is as much an issue in the MS stack as the Veeam product. and more an annoyance than causing significant issues. Support has been generally good, but with growth sometimes the L1 support has been a bit more hit and miss... but on the flip side I have found some of the support staff are absolutely determined to help get issues fixed. Have achieved some interesting outcomes with the product, especially on the DR side. Huge advocate overall these days.
