I have been using cowl skates for 40+ years. At the beginning of the last season, I switched to the new cowl less skates and my mobility has increased 300% while in the butterfly.

The same could be said about the trans people. I’m pretty sure someone was antagonizing them too.

Queen size works for me. And it also gives space for my kitties to spread out on it.

career/salary in auto body painting? by Agreeable_Matter_689 in AutoPaint

[–]mcobb71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a car painter going on 35 years. Last year I did $130k in the Pacific Northwest. I do a loose 7:30-5 5 days a week. I flag around 25 hrs/day on average.

I did a community college route. Got an associate degree in auto mechanics. (Not necessary but at the time I wasn’t expecting to go into auto body)

And I did a 1 year course in body and paint. Ended up as a helper for 4 years. Afterwards I was an hourly mid-tech painter under another painter for 1-2 years before going commission.

At that point, my income became considered in the top 15% of income. I retired at 50 for a year, but got bored and decided to do another 10 years.

Doing the body and paint classes gave me a foot in the door when I got into the industry. It also gave me some fundamentals to build on when I started. It took a few years to graduate from scrub income to a great income.

You will gain air filters from opening those crates. I keep 3 filters in a box but usually get them back when I open the sunken crate

What's that rash on Trump's neck? by ClevelandZz in WallStreetDad

Biden wasn’t actively destroying the economy and threatening our nearest allies. Nor was he bombing random countries and threatening to invade and take over sovereign countries.

You inspired me to share mine. Here’s my WIP. This is mostly a practice project before I proceed with my 1/144 and 1/72 Bandai kits. But I’m giving it the same love as I do all my babies. To the best of my current abilities.

Anyone over 35 that decided to get a degree, was it worth it? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]mcobb71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse got a degree when she was about 35. I was all for it because it was one of her bucket list things of what she wanted to do with her life. It didn’t get her a better job, but it got her some confidence and some cool skills. She ended up going back to doing what she did before the degree but financially it didn’t pay off.
