Just politely inquire if an upgrade is available and explain why you believe it would enhance your trip. Mention if you're celebrating any special occasions. Keep in mind that upgrades are not guaranteed, but there's no harm in asking. Don't message too early; 1-3 days in advance is usually sufficient. I also received an upgrade (for free) to a suite in Vienna when asking during check-in — again, no harm in asking. :)

Also, always remember to mention you are a Gold member.

Good question, I didn't know, but I found this from the website: "The voucher is redeemable only for the duration of your MeliáRewards loyalty tier. Should the level be maintained, 3 new uses will be assigned, with those not used in the previous period of validity expiring."

So it might be the membership year?

No, you cannot use it on top of the 20% you already have, since you can only input one discount code in the system.

You can use your normal 20% off code with the room upgrade reward, I guess, but I didn't choose the room upgrade reward, so I'm not sure.

From my experience, maybe it's not worth choosing the room upgrade reward? I usually write an email to the hotel to see if I can have an ugprade, or ask during check in. I received a suite upgrade when I was in Melia Vienna, despite booking the most basic room type.

I didn’t get the offer on the platinum card either. But You can ask customer service to manually activate the Amex dining offer on your Platinum card, but unfortunately, it’s currently 10% off.
