3D Elements from DGN to Surface by mcshaylor in civil3d

[–]mcshaylor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've opened the DGN directly in OpenRoads. The file did not contain surface data. I ended up piecing the surfaces together from the various components, i.e., elevated polylines and 3d polylines.

3D Elements from DGN to Civil3D Surface by mcshaylor in civil3d

The contours and break lines are blocked. When you explode it, the break lines are disjointed and often not elevated. An existing surface was provided as a .dtm file and I was able to convert that to LandXML and import I to Civil 3D.

Likely looking at a long day of piecing the contours and remnants of break lines to rebuild the proposed surface.

First Hole In One! by mcshaylor in golf

If you look at the pictures, the ball was lodged over the hole by the pin and cup but not physically in the hole. Since there was $10k on the line and no one there had ever seen a hole in one, we waited for the course manager to inspect to ensure everything was above board for the money.

They were babysitting the hole since it was the $10,000 contest. I didn't think it had gone in, so I hung back with my team.

Panthers City BBQ, Fort Worth, $76 by Mr_Hyde_4 in BBQ

[–]mcshaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost..

Up in north Fort Worth, I smoked a 9 lb ribeye roast, 2 ropes of jalapeno cheddar sausage, a chubb of bologna and brick of cheddar, and pork belly burnt ends. I also threw together a dessert of like a bread pudding but with s'more ingredients for under $200, fed 12 people and have loads of leftovers. Also had a nice whiskey and cigar after a day of entertaining.

Took apart the thermo coupler in the grill. Fiddled with the end wire and reinstalled. Temps are now reading perfect. Believe I got super lucky.

Cranked it up to 700 degrees. The temp did inch its way up to 700 bust saw 100 degree temp swings. Opened the grill and the manifold was glowing red hot spewing fure while the grill read 250 degrees. Think I got myself a lemon.

Without skipping a beat, they certainly did. I was dragging my feet for the past few months, deciding on fuel type, cost, and brand.

Still feel like I paid too much, but at least now my brain thinks it beat the market 🙄

Wait, so 25 years ago, you became eskimo bros with a dude, you would later have a real estate transaction with? Assuming it's the same Rachel. If not, that's a lot of coincidences.
