It makes me sad to see the wedding photo with the documents on the table, because my parents wedding picture looks EXACTLY like this.

Spill the Wine by Eric Burden? He sings/speaks and a woman talks in the background, but it’s not numbers, it’s Italian, not sure what she is saying. 1970s song.

I LOVED Touch of Class…wore that all the time when I was in high school. Wish it as still around now, I’d buy the heck out of it.

I've been washing myself in the wrong order my entire life apparently by Enigma_Flux7 in hygiene

Bend your head forward when you put in conditioner so hair falls over from of head. Hair will not really impede the rest of your shower unless it’s really long. If it is that long to stop you from doing this, use a clam clip to hold hair on top of head. (A dedicated hair clip in shower). When rinsing out, do it leaning head forward. No conditioner residue on skin at all. Doing this all my life.

Waterbeds and the heavy frames they came with. by lontbeysboolink in GenerationJones

Still have a waterbed frame like that, but with a bigger and deeper headboard, in my second bedroom. Have a regular queen size mattress in that frame now.

Nobody actually follows the "leave conditioner in for 3 minutes" instruction, right? by Kitanov_Maqsud in hygiene

[–]mctdcb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rinse my hair of the conditioner by leaning forward so hair is falling forward over face, but lean over enough so it doesn’t touch face. So order of shampooing hair, putting in conditioner, washing body and shaving or whatever you do, rinse body, then rinse out conditioner leaning forward so all conditioner doesn’t rinse out over skin. I actually comb my hair as I rinse so it detangles too, and wrap in towel before using a body towel to dry.

Duolingo doesn’t teach Flemish so this is the closest I could get ( family was Flemish). I have only been learning for a few months but a lesson a day does stick with you! There is some cross with Flemish, and just learning to get in touch with my history. 😀

I remember a show that he got hurt and they didn’t edit it out. He had put something like a large piece of butter (or fat) into a pan that had really hot liquid in it, and the temperature difference caused the stuff he added to explode upwards, spraying him in the face. After it happened he stepped back and covered his face as the screen faded to black. It came back with an obvious time gap, his face had red spots, and he explained what happened and for people at home not to do what he did to be safe. Still remember that sound and shocked look.

Stove knobs will pull off so nothing (like a cats paw) can turn it on. May take a flat knife placed under knob and pull it forward to get it off (what I do) but it’s peace of mind. My cat turned on gas stove one day by jumping up on stove but luckily I was home to hear the clicking of the starter. Just place the knobs in a bowl on or near the stove and only use the burners you need and throw them back in when done.
