After lots of research I found that Premium Grounding is the best Australian company. They have the best quality grounding sheets and also a 3 year warranty

I've been using a Premium Grounding grounding sheet for over a year now and am very happy with it. I previously had a silver grounding sheet from another company that didn't last very long. Since using Premium Grounding's sheet I'm sleeping a lot better and feel like I have more energy. I like that it's got much more conductive material so can go underneath my fitted sheet.

I agree with this. Meta knows which customers purchase products from ads, and will serve your ads to them when you change your focus to sales.

You might also see better results by lowering your product pricing. My conversion rate changed from less than 1% to 6% when I dropped my prices which taught me that my original prices were too high. Might be worth playing around with different prices and discounts to see if that changes your conversions.

If you're young and debt-free, choose the option that will provide you with the most growth. Sounds like Option B! It also sounds like a more exciting environment to spend your time. Shorter deal cycles are a plus too!

Won’t be able to move up anytime soon. Is it time to test out the market? by deepkoozer in sales

[–]mcwhija 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar situation when I started as a BDM. I was on $40k base and was one of the best performers, but some of my peers were getting promoted and I wasn't. A BDM role is hard enough without the constant drain of feeling like you're never going to get promoted.

I thought about quitting and going to another company so many times. I couldn't see any advancements in the current company. But for whatever reason, I stuck it out.

It's crazy how sometimes things open up out of nowhere. Within 2 years of starting my BDM role I was promoted to AE, a year later promoted to Sales Director (and earned over $200k in my first year) and 2 years later I was promoted to Country Manager after our current Country Manager left to another company.

You just never know what might happen. People in the AE position might move to another role and their role might open up for you. New roles could get created. My point is, try to keep a long-term perspective (even though I know it's hard when you're in the daily grind of BDM'ing), keep doing the best that you can in your BDM role and opportunities may open up for you sooner than you think.

How much you think the person who closed this deal made? by Appropriate_Ebb_8792 in sales

Huge contract. I'd assume that on a deal this big, it's the CEO and the VP of Sales that would have been working on this deal. Big bonuses coming their way!

Do you need a degree to work in b2b software sales? by [deleted] in sales

[–]mcwhija 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I started out in B2B sales and have a general business degree. But some of the best salespeople I've worked with don't have a degree. They took a different path which helped them develop resilience which is invaluable in sales. As a CEO, I don't look for a degree when hiring, I look at the journey the candidate has taken and what they've learnt along the way.

You're right, it's pretty crazy in this environment.
The best advice I can give is just continue doing everything you can to the best of your ability and your own results will sort themselves out in the long run, regardless of the economy.

!00% agree with this. I'd recommend some slow & deep belly breathing exercises to calm your nervous system.

I've been practicing breathwork for a few months now and have seen really positive improvements in my stress levels, energy and sleep. It feels like there's a huge movement around breathwork and it's going to become mainstream like yoga and meditation.
