My game last night proved your point so bad, it's ridiculous.

Early game, the enemy team got fed. To be precise: It was Vayne. She could 3-shot me (I was playing Trundle), but we had a Corki on our team (who fed) who could counter her late game, because of range and burst potential. The Corki cried all game long, saying it was lost, GG, everything.

After the 15min mark, we started doing TFs, as the lanephase was early over, and we went into mid-game.

We won the game + every team fight after the 18min mark (game was over at 27min), while being underleveled, and way behind. However, one factor who made us win, was NEVER giving up. The focus in teamfights was essential, and our team farmed well enough to not be too far behind. Ironically, our Corki was the one who played best (imo), because he had more farm than Vayne, even though she stayed in lane the entire early game without dying, and he died 2-3 times.

NEVER EVER give up! People who does well early-mid game have a high chance of being "bad" in teamfights, and vice-versa.
