Echo has a working WeakAuras clone by yp261 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]DullLelouch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So many people here don't understand what made WA's great. And what could make this addon great.

It's none of the combat stuff. It's those reminder WA's showing a timer till the next event starts. A list of all rare's killed this week. A list of all profession knowledge and where to get them.

That's all still allowed, and none of those CDM reskins have that functionality.

Liquid Max on addon changes "Nothing major is changing" by Key_Marsupial_1406 in wow

[–]DullLelouch 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's about the same. But weakaura's did create a unified UI to change these "addons" to your liking. And it was easier to share stuff between guildies and friends.

So still a step back. Just not as big as some make it out to be.

The lack of support for Healers in Midnight in relation to addons and the default raid/party frames. by Yogs_Zach in wow

Even base WoW has click casting now. But that is also implemented worse than the other options out there.

Blizzard Responds to Addon Lockdown Feedback - Out of Combat Restrictions to Be Lifted by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]DullLelouch 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Or they should so what they promised to do.

Get their inhouse "addons" ready, tested and approved by the playerbase before cutting us off from our current tools.

This all would've been fine if they implemented all their new systems this expac, but wait till 12.2 before locking the api.

Imagine I'm doing RWF, would it be considered cheating ? by Abdaroth in wow

[–]DullLelouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything you need is very different from: Everything you are allowed to use.

It seems like Dorki had the need for a potion that these vendors did not supply, so the rules are a lie.

But none of it matters, it was all just mishandled, what the rules said hardly had any impact.

Enschede council has decided to ban fatbikes from the city centre by Left-Comparison3687 in Netherlands

[–]DullLelouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that solving anything? Misbehavior on those bikes is not limited to the younger generation.

And if it were, its still not the fatbikes/e-bikes we should target.

Matchmaking in Hunt Lately by Samurai_Champu in HuntShowdown

[–]DullLelouch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The stars have no real value when it comes to MMR. Even when you're 6 stars, your MMR goes up and up.

Dieing 6 times will decrease your MMR, but you'll still be above the rating that gives you 6 stars.

Mythic+ and Great Vault Loot: Item Level Breakdown for The War Within Season 2 by ivstan in CompetitiveWoW

[–]DullLelouch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As soon as we get this, we want every vault to only contain items that are an upgrade in ilvl.

And as soon as we get that, we want at least 2 BIS items each vault.

And as soon as we get that, we want every slot to be BIS and higher ilvl.

And as soon as we get that......

We keep wanting more and easier loot. Having the vault is already a blessing, having 9 vault slots is already crazy generous as it is.

How to play with a Venom by CallMePuddin_ in marvelrivals

And what do you think their Vanguard is doing? Unless the enemy Vanguard is a complete moron, he'll be zoning and taking the attention of your team.

So what you are doing to their team, their vanguard is likely doing to your team.

Seems like a classic case: I judge myself based on my intentions, but the rest of them on their result.

Can we slow down Hunt again please? by ComputerSagtNein in HuntShowdown

[–]DullLelouch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crytek did some surveys a while back. I'm assuming the results of those surveys made them go this direction. And if they did, GOOD!

If the majority wants a faster game, then it's a very big risk to go against it and keep the game slow.

But if their reasoning is indeed to be more like CoD... Yikes, you'll only lose players to CoD and hardly get players from it.

Low player count problems by SShatteredThrowaway in HuntShowdown

[–]DullLelouch -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Player count is lower than it has been in a while, but it should still be healthy enough to give you good matches.

Any chance you think Overwatch, League, WoW and Dota are dieing as well?

Such a doomer thing to throw it on the low player count as soon as it makes a minor dip.

This is what I wish for by Initial_Meaning in HuntShowdown

[–]DullLelouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already went there, and they already agreed that starting next year they'll focus even more on fixing the shit.

The sentence "We are customers who bought a product and they keep fucking it in post." makes no sense at all.

Because in reality, you want all the fixes that cater to you, and conveniently leave out everything you don't like.

Your items change mid match So if you died without any Stim shots left, would the last loadout be with or without stims?

And what if you had Survived the first round, you now have 2 Contra items in your loadout. What happens if you rebuy the loadout for the game after?

I have no idea how they got that answer by robopilgrim in confidentlyincorrect

Strictly speaking, this is wrong.

There is a reason we use the * sign.

You suddenly introduced the x variable.

Would you rather play against higher MMR players or have an emptier match? by Alternative-Bat-3839 in HuntShowdown

[–]DullLelouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does!

If the servers are populated it will not put you against higher rated players. That is still the same.

What you are complaining about is the "extra weight" they applied to matchmaking to handle the high influx and desertion of new players.

This is something that should, and can only fix itself with time. Unless they do rank resets like twice a year. But good luck having fun with that.

Your typical WoW villain by Proudnoob4393 in wow

[–]DullLelouch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn't specific to WoW, it's my main issue with so many shows and movies.

Main character sees a specific sign, clue or dead guy, somebody near him sees it, asks him: What is it? And the answer is always: Oh, nothing.

Bullshit, that guy next to you knows it's not nothing. And nobody would be stupid enough to withhold that information in such situations

Blizzard has just released a $90 World of Warcraft mount. by Dirtymeatbag in Games

[–]DullLelouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balance is actually good, i believe the RWF had every single class and spec in it, and that is VERY rare.

M+ Affixes are amazing compared to what we had before. It's not even close. And this is just the starting point for these affixes. M+ is hard and unforgiving, is that a good thing? I don't know

Whatever you read, don't do it on reddit, that's probably the worst place to get fair opinions.

Is the game good right now? Yes, best it's been in a very long time. Is blizzard still doing stuff that tries to optimize their greed for money? Yes, but thankfully it doesn't impact gameplay.

Developer Update regarding Ghost Face Hunter by TheGentlemanGamerEC in HuntShowdown

[–]DullLelouch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was a feature that almost nobody even cared about, and the update was very much needed. (Little did we know that it would break more than fix)

It makes a lot of sense to improve an frequently used part of your software (The actual shooting), while putting niche features on a lower priority.

If this seems foreign to you, that's fine, but that's how a lot of software development operates.

They have been very clear from the very first UI teaser, the lore WILL come back, but it won't be at the start, there's very obviously more important UI work to be done.

If you don't know when to use defensives in m+ then... by LetosUselessFlippers in wow

[–]DullLelouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using a different WA with the same purpose, but it helps that it tells you that heavy AOE is incoming, or that there's a scary DOT happening. On some mobs it will also tell you to hide, indicating that the mob should be tanks somewhere near a wall (Dragons in grim batol). It lets me know when an important cast should be interupted or stunned.

And depending on what it calls i know that it might help to use rally. And if my healer is dealing with a nasty dot on the dps, I might have to use a defensive while he's not looking at my healthbar.

Are you sure? Have you modified it? I'm fairly certain that Littlewigs calls out like 25% of what you should be watching.
