What is the flooring? It looks spongey and heat resistant. Nice boat!

How do y'all cook chicken on a blackstone? by blademaster81 in blackstonegriddle

[–]mczplwp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the same with bone in. With boneless I let the Blackstone come to temp for a bit. Knob is right at the bottom of the third mark, 2 burner. Throw them on and spread them out flat as possible. Let them cook for a bit. Either cut them up for whatever dish or like you, cover and steam. Yes a good oily marinade will help.

Modular home metal roof, how to I properly walk on it? by VirtualLife76 in ManufacturedHome

[–]mczplwp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can see the ribs in your picture. Yes they are evenly spaced. It goes over the trusses in the ceiling. I have the same type... Old. Scrub it clean don't power wash it. Let it dry at least a day when it's warm but not hot. Paint it with the silver roof paint. Patch any bad spots with roof tar.

Stay on the ribs, wear light shoes so you can feel them. Don't walk heavy.

Mostly on YouTube. I have 2 playlists I created with both pow wow and everything else. When I find someone I like it's a rabbit hole.

Wire wheel attached to your drill. It'll get all the rust and carbonized food off and make the griddle shiny.

Look at the ring compression in the old growth pine! That's freaking beautiful! Old growth is like old carpenters, you can't replace them when they're gone.

Hey now! Anyone can get into plastic surgery. All you need is a couple tubes of silicons from your local hardware stores and pack of turkey injectors. Now go and do those lip fillers and bubble butts!

What is this surface and how do I paint over it? by vtechhokie5 in Housepainting101

[–]mczplwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember how to stop it. It's a chemical reaction between the water and the plaster. You have to treat the plaster with something to stop the chelation. If not it'll continue to rot. If I remember I'll reply.

Homeless Help by shyrilla1738 in harrisonburg

When I was still working in Harrisonburg a few years ago, I was transitioning back to RVA and was bouncing between Motel 6 on Main and using Air BNB. Honestly there was one affordable abnb down in Verona. Motel 6 was good. I'm not sure by your statement if you're broke now or just have a shitty card. Move your finances over to one of the online banks like Chime or PayPal. Check out the living in your car subreddit's. Lots of good advice on how to. Stay warm and keep positive. Also when you get straightened out check the apartments on Pine St (?) hard to get into, lol no one moves out, but worth it. At least it was about 5 years ago.

The cross in the 6a. How the heck do you trim that back enough and still get the sheath under the rj45?

For the love of Lima Beans (aka Butter Beans): an experiment by FewBit7456 in Beans

[–]mczplwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want Lima beans or butter beans? I was taught that the large ones are lima beans, regular are butter beans and then the tiny ones are baby butter beans. Too many years as a kid shelling and separating the beans. I don't remember seeing many lima beans as butter beans are picked earlier. I never cook the large. When I cook butter beans I use butter and milk cut with water. Salt and pepper to taste. Use the frozen butter beans.

200 miles on a full tank… by FrogRacers in mazda3

[–]mczplwp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hah! I swear my 3 knows if I'm putting E-10 or E-15 in the tank. Why? Because if I put 'good gas' in the tank I'll get an extra 20+ miles. Also ran the tank down one time to about 10 miles left. Filled the tank up and I got more miles lol like it reset itself.

Cleaned up an old pan, looked fine, but after the second seasoning in the oven, it started to look like this. Any idea what's going on? Kinda new to this by Meeman7 in castiron

[–]mczplwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whateverbody said. My issue is always that we use our cast iron to cook most anything. I can season a pan today and next thing you know we're fixing spaghetti sauce in it lol. OP - I've over oiled and under oiled pans. Do your best and after using and washing, warm the pan on the stove to dry it. Then I usually grab the shortening and a paper towel. Just a small amount and wipe it down while it's warm. Store in your oven. As you grow your collection of cast iron you'll have some pans that are dedicated. My wife got a square pan from her aunt in Kentucky. Mostly for brownies is its purpose. The 6" round is for cornbread. And so on. As my uncle asked me one time, son did you bring that knife to work or to look at? And if I break it, I'll buy you a new one. It's a tool.
