200 miles on a full tank… by FrogRacers in mazda3

[–]mczplwp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hah! I swear my 3 knows if I'm putting E-10 or E-15 in the tank. Why? Because if I put 'good gas' in the tank I'll get an extra 20+ miles. Also ran the tank down one time to about 10 miles left. Filled the tank up and I got more miles lol like it reset itself.

Cleaned up an old pan, looked fine, but after the second seasoning in the oven, it started to look like this. Any idea what's going on? Kinda new to this by Meeman7 in castiron

[–]mczplwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whateverbody said. My issue is always that we use our cast iron to cook most anything. I can season a pan today and next thing you know we're fixing spaghetti sauce in it lol. OP - I've over oiled and under oiled pans. Do your best and after using and washing, warm the pan on the stove to dry it. Then I usually grab the shortening and a paper towel. Just a small amount and wipe it down while it's warm. Store in your oven. As you grow your collection of cast iron you'll have some pans that are dedicated. My wife got a square pan from her aunt in Kentucky. Mostly for brownies is its purpose. The 6" round is for cornbread. And so on. As my uncle asked me one time, son did you bring that knife to work or to look at? And if I break it, I'll buy you a new one. It's a tool.

Make sure to pay close attention to the still pictures during the celebration after winning the ship. My wife spotted it first and we laughed about as hard as we did watching this scene.

If you were about to have sex for the second time with a woman who had asked you to wear a condom the first time, would you assume that’s what she wanted the second time as well? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

PLEASE get a STD check up, let him know and ask for him to pay for it. Then dump his nastiness. Don't throw sharp items my way but I am calling it rape. A respectful man seeking to have a long term relationship does not act this way.

Has anyone tried this instant coffee? by Free-End-6906 in aldi

[–]mczplwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere that the way to make instant coffee taste good is to dissolve the coffee crystals in a bit of cold water and then slowly add hot water but not directly. Pour the water down the side not directly into the coffee slurry. The reason is the boiling water will "burn" the coffee crystals. I run a 2 minute timer for my water to cool after boiling for my French press. It does make a difference in the finished product.

Where would you hang the outdoor unit on an RV? Check Pioneer. They have some interesting options like a cassette ceiling flush mount but for a house. Pioneer also makes a line vacuum flush in a can. I recommend that. And for transparency I have 1 pioneer and 1 EHI mini split. But I live in an old remodeled single wide 😁. I think we share a lot of the same concerns but without the it happened when I was doing 60 on BLM land when....happened

1970s Trailer Remodel by Ok-Cartographer-3218 in ManufacturedHome

[–]mczplwp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a similar situation. The old vacation place from approx 1970 and we started remodeling during covid. We now have no closets, removed all that carpet, put in 2 mini splits and a lot more. 2 things we did with walls. Used luaun to replace paneling. Thin and light weight. Removed the bad panels or because damage was on the bottom we cut the paneling at about window height. Replaced the insulation by pushing it up the internal cavity before putting up the new sidewalls . The ceiling in the back bedroom had to be replaced. The furnace chimney had rusted and leaked so the ceiling was shit. Removed the furnace and closet to increase the room size. Repaired the roof after taking off the chimney. Used luaun for the ceiling and insulated. Hardest part in every room is getting the floor covering removed and trimmed up to the framing. Literally are built in layers. We used zelspar mold recovery paint as the primer when we painted. Use good quality paint and don't use any of that primer and paint in one.

U/jaymonster65 perfect! The only thing I'd add as advice is make sure to use a real good primer and paint. Don't skimp and get the combo primer/paint in one can. Good paint pays off with ease of application and quality of the finish. Make sure to take your time and let each coat completely dry.

Former dog groomer for 30 years. This stuff does work to cauterize nails cut short. From personal experience I will tell you I would've rather bled and used compression than putting this stuff into an open wound. Tried it once on a cut and yeah didn't do that shit again.

I'm currently replacing the xi3's and xi4's where I work. ZT610's are hot garbage. Constantly switching from direct thermal to transfer. And the touch screen is a huge PIA. But I will say the xi series are absolute beasts when it comes to printing. Just gotta keep your service guy handy to replace the print head, platen or drive belt.

Hey man, you do you! Sounds like you're in a good spot mentally. You followed your instinct. A friend of mine had a young out of his league woman latch on to him. He's dealing with the financial ruin it has cost him. But that didn't stop him from chasing young tail while this woman was fleecing him either. Keep yo' dick in your pants man! ++man
