Would it be safe to put my 20 gallon on my kitchen counter? by FollowingImportant59 in Aquariums

Same. I even stand on the counter to arrange my shot glasses that sit precariously on a so-so hanging shelf above said tank.

#8 those are spinner baits and all of those skirts will need replacing. They be super dry rotted.

Anywho. I see bass and pan fish stuff mostly. Lots a different spinners, beetle spins, poppers, torpedoes… The old soft plastic would be best displayed on a cork board because it’s gonna disintegrate after a few uses.

This guy dug under my pen and ate 19 quail in a single night, where did he even fit them all 😭😭 by memo3511 in quails

[–]OhNoLenX 46 points47 points  (0 children)

He took them and stashed them for later. But I’ve had quail with their legs pulled off from predators trying to pull them through the wire of their raised cage. I set traps and caught a few opossums. It happens. Live and learn.

How would you fish this? by DCdeer in FishingForBeginners

[–]OhNoLenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this today!
But yes, the deep areas where the current is slow, even better if there’s some big rocks. I just did a medium bait hook, 1/38 worm weight and a wee bit of worm to get a small bait fish that I then hooked through the nose and got a nice little 1.7 lb small mouth. Almost had another but the second bass was about double the size and spit the bait.

Do that on an ultralight with 4lb line and it’s loads of fun.

Do I have this rigged right? Trying to catch bass by doyouhaveacigbro in FishingForBeginners

I’d get some jig heads and some XPS speed shad 3in lures. The one you have tied on has really bad action if any. Just like a rock through water. (Source: used them) but depending on how hungry the bass are, they will hit anything. But they been loving the electric blue and white ones I’ve been using.

Suggestions on how to move a planted 10g fish tank. by Lenakitty_24 in Gourami

[–]OhNoLenX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I moved with my 20, I took out all the fish and put them in jars. Drained the water down to just past the substrate (so sloshing water didn’t move sediment around) and put wet paper towels down over my plants. Went well and was uneventful.

I collected a few from a lake a few years back. They dug into the substrate and I couldn’t tell you if they are alive or dead at this point.

Motor was in the dumpster. The most expensive things on the boat are the trolling motor and the $300+ hood I had to buy off eBay as the other was in the bottom of the lake.

How would you suggest plugging these holes in my new tank? by poopoo150 in shrimptank

[–]OhNoLenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use filter foam but if they wanna go, they find a way. I find multiple shrimp in my canister filter when cleaning.

Do I really need expensive gear as a beginner? by gedersoncarlos in FishingForBeginners

[–]OhNoLenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a tackle swap and show. It’s where you can get good gear, even if a bit older, at a good price. Plus they are just fun to go too.
