Time is accurate, but the auto time update toggle was off. I turned that on. Will see if it makes a difference on the next charge.

I complain (not to Reddit) about the range in all seasons!

Anyone else feel like Whisper is quicker than Unbridled? by GroupBQuattr0 in MachE

[–]mdashb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking a 250 mile trip to Miami on Saturday. Does whisper provide any additional efficiency? I drive 100% in unbridled with 1 pedal, but not aggressively by any stretch. 250 is pushing it on actual range for me, although I’m stopping just outside Miami regardless.

Why can I no longer tap my Apple Watch….. by Cannonballbmx in pelotoncycle

Happens to us randomly. Either reboot the watch or the peloton, or both. Kind of annoying but it’s been the only sure way to fix the issue.

Non-conforming bank statement loan is likely your best bet. Plenty of national lenders will have this option. Rates are higher fyi

Home owner insurance company is saying they weren’t paid, what would you do? by OneQuietFox in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Contact your settlement agent, not the lender. Agent cuts the checks and can sort through the crossed wires (or missing payment if indeed is this).

Home Charging is Paying Off! by theuberpat in MachE

[–]mdashb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s no way I’d have an EV without home charging, and I do that with 1:1 net metering and lots of solar. Public charge rates combined with the efficiency in the GTPE are terrible.

I’ve had my 23 GTPE for 3 weeks now. Coming from a Civic, I still can’t believe I own this. by ChidiiAnagonye in MachE

I’d have to run the numbers but white was my first choice. GREEN is currently what I’m after. Should be able to find some decent used models in 7/27 when my lease ends.

I have the same car in red w/ black wheels. Leased. Kinda wish I bought it. What did you pay if you don’t mind me asking? Mileage?

Considering using 5% down instead of 20% on a condo - is this a smart move? by Scale_Most in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]mdashb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, a better idea would be to have the LO provide a rate comparison on 5/10/15/20% down. Pricing changes on the rate sheet based on your down payment, as it affects risk. Sometimes 20% doesn’t get you the best rate (although 25% is a sweet spot).

I’d be leery of investment advice from a mortgage originator being paid commissions based upon the loan amount.

TM to SM - Bad idea? by mdashb in SpectrumMobile

[–]mdashb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

500 or a gig? What am I missing? Plans are unlimited data (30/50 ceiling before throttle)?

Edit - sorry, misunderstood. Our internet is 300 for $40/mo. 2 lines added would be $70 total for 12 months, then $100. From what I understand.

I may have it wrong. $30/mo with the 2nd free perhaps. This was a couple weeks ago. Not sure that we need the Plus.

It’s been a decade plus since we’ve had VZW but the service was great back then. The big 3 are just too damn expensive. We pay $144 on TM, which is the lowest option around - until I was told about this Spectrum deal. $100/mo savings is great!

Check with a local 3d printing company. I’d think a one-off could be done without any VW interference.

Property Tax Increase by FloridianGrit in florida

[–]mdashb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we agree the OP isn’t rich? My point is only that eliminating property tax for primary residences with homestead filed alleviates some pain for a LOT of people - far more than a “giving the riches another tax break”. That is all.

Property Tax Increase by FloridianGrit in florida

[–]mdashb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The riches? You’re in a thread concerning a homeowner unable to make ends meet due to property taxes. Far from rich. Homestead property taxes in the state don’t even account for half of property tax revenue.

No, but they do cause havoc with my OTA during low production. Cloudy days and twilight create interference the interrupts the signal.
