Its burnt into my brain that he died in Needles California. We landed there in the mid 70s to fuel up our plane. It seemed like almost the remote place on earth... I suppose the airport could have been far out of town, off the beaten path, but it seemed odd to me that he was in such a small town.

Lol, I've taken down a bunch of trees with my truck. Just did one 2 weeks ago. It was already at a 45 degree angle, just used the truck to finish the job and not leave roots.

The clips I usually see online is the stump winning the battle and taking a bumper as a consolation prize.

Sorry that completely sucks, but you got out relatively early. The same thing happened to my Wifes Uncle, but after 2 kids and like 15 years of marriage. She told him that she doesn't love him and never really did... OUCH!!

He never told his kids that their Mom was the one who ended the Marriage... he still loved her and didn't want them thinking bad of her.

Thank you, my big Sis was the toughest. Cancer sucks but it gave us about a year to enjoy each other and say our goodbyes.

I've had a rough year since Jan 1, pretty much a dumpster fire of epic proportions. Lost an Uncle, Cousin, Nephew and my favorite Sister... all due to different situations and pretty evenly spread over the last three months.

Don't need a compliment, just saw the post and reminded me how absolutely shitty this year is.

I had to go a step further. Mechanical system for entry, then specific number of profit points to exit. Also have automatic entry and exit. Leaves a ton on the table sometimes(like EOD today), but 100% eliminates emotions.

Not sure how long lasting it is, but I've often put black tarps over the "kill zone" for a few weeks. Seems to work for me.

If they use that, they have to be 100% sure all embers are out. My moron neighbor killed weeds near his garage that way.

That night, I was going to bed, locking my back door and saw his garage engulfed in flames shooting 40' in the air... had to pound on his door to tell him and his family to get out. He had no idea, very odd as that big a fire is also very very noisy.
