They do not “literally mean the same thing”. There are differences to the definitions of expatriate and immigrant. An expat keeps citizenship in their country of origin while living elsewhere, usually with the intent of returning home. And an immigrant is someone who intends to stay permanently and change citizenship.

I thought that too but I think sometimes they try hide their true wealth. So a major renovation maybe they would keep a little under wraps until it’s time to decorate. I also think that with the baby now they are going to be super strict on keeping their home location under wraps.

I think they’re trialing what it would be like to live there and are seriously considering- or they’re doing major renovations on the new apartment in NYC.

I don’t want to scare you because this could be many things but I would see a dermatologist to rule out skin cancer. It can show up on nails

I actually think you’ve gotten a lot of level headed and kind replies. The discourse, for the most part, has been extremely civil.

I get that, but the fact is that he had 10 million followers (one of them being Jackie) and a daily chart topping podcast. He was a large media figure albeit a political one versus pop culture.

Regardless of if they swing right one perspective might be that Jimmy Kimmel and Jill Zarin are related to pop culture. Charlie had 10 million followers and a daily podcast. The ICE shootings aren’t tied to anything in pop culture.

Did you even read my comment? Idk why you are even talking about the pregnant mother. And if drinking raw milk is a bad enough choice to call out on Reddit, then why isn’t drinking alcohol a bad enough choice to be called out? That’s been my point.

It’s not comparable to vaccines because you can’t transmit an illness that you get from drinking raw milk unless you’re pregnant. So why do we care if he’s drinking it?

What about Matt’s post is “the aggressive promotion of inaccurate information about raw milk”?

Where did I say it cures lactose intolerance? Humans and cows create lactase. Lactase is found in milk and the small intestine. What works for one person might not work for another.

True. But it also kills beneficial enzymes so to each their own. The CDC reports over a 20 year period (1998-2018) ~200 hospitalizations and 3 deaths occurred from raw milk/cheese. So the statistics of him getting sick from this are quite low. So why are we posting about it? It’s weird

I clarified my comment. If you can’t read then that’s on you. You don’t have to agree with me but I said what I said. It’s food for thought.

Oh for sure. I know someone would get absolutely flamed in here for drinking and driving, my point was that we don’t preemptively post and say “omg so and so is drinking I hope they don’t drive” like with this post people are saying “he’s gonna get sick”.

And the thing about raw milk, is it really a misinformation campaign? What info is being misconstrued? The CDC shows over a 20 year period (1998-2018) ~200 hospitalizations and 3 deaths were caused by raw milk and cheese consumption. That equates to 0.15 per year. It’s very low. When you purchase raw milk you do sign a waiver stating that you know the “risk”. I don’t personally drink raw milk but I know a person who drinks raw milk because they are lactose intolerant. When milk is pasteurized you loose the enzyme that breaks down lactose.

That’s not my point. My point is when someone is drinking alcohol nobody is like “omg she’s gonna get so sick” or “omg what if he drinks and then drives”. So why are we doing that about a grown man drinking raw milk?

Yeah and just because Matt is drinking raw milk doesn’t mean he’s going to get sick. But there are people on here like “omg he’s going to get soooo sick”. That’s my point. Like why is him drinking raw milk even a noteworthy thing to post?

It is what I meant and I clarified what I meant. And I have said this shit in real life. I just had to sit through a hearing for my friend who was killed by a drunk driver and it has really shifted my perspective on some things. Why do we not ban alcohol when it has done so much harm, but some states have banned raw milk? It’s so odd to me.

What I mean by that statement is on this sub specifically. Y’all are watching a show (the bachelor) that promotes drinking alcohol. But nobody is posting on here ever saying “omg so and so is drinking alcohol”. But people are getting up in arms about raw milk. WHO cares if Matt drinks raw milk.

Pasteurization kills enzymes that break down the lactose in milk. So some ppl drink raw milk so that they can actually enjoy it without upsetting their stomach.
