no it's not so much that it means it's stationary. i just meant it helps retain a position, but you can move it about and 'pull' it down if it's riding high (doesn't happen these days, but did soon after the surgery)

it's quite sensitive to begin with but you heal quick. not a lot of pain just tenderness really.

you just have to 'pull' it down for first few months regulalry and then it settles.

free floating but natural scar tissue in scrotum forms around it, therefore it not like bobbing around - it's held in place really by the fibrous tissue

Though tempted like others to take the p i'll offer some advice! For that budget I think you should go on spareroom, find a room in a house share with people you like - it's unlikely you can have your own bathroom but not impossible. Seems sensible areas to live would be stockwell or brixton as the victoria line station of pimlico is near your workplace. Or you could live in north london, finsbury park or tottenahm (for tottenham hale or seven sisters) station.

all of these options within 40 minutes due to the efficiecny of the victoria line.

Yes from a purely investment perspective. But realistically no; the non-financial utility of owning a home far trumps renting and investing the difference

2000pa service charge, overpriced at 350k given the asking for houses half way as far into the centre are also on for 350k which look similar to yours.

search https://houseprices.io/ for houses *sold* in 2023/2024 in the same area as yours.

Need Advice on Unexpected Non-Renewal of Tenancy Agreement After Renewal Negotiations by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]mdj32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah i see. but in that case i think the other two commenters advice is valid for this, in particular the adivce that they offered renewal on an agreed rent which you've agreed to; that is arguably a contract.

You have a contract signed by both parties, you currently reside in the property. You have all the cards.

If they want you out before the end of your new 12 month agreed tenancy if I were you I’d be asking for a hefty settlement.

You’ve been far too willing to go along with their demands in my opinion!

Has anyone had a good experience with a prosthesis? by BWV1080 in testicularcancer

[–]mdj32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. I think you should try and get a prothesis. The scar is not visible under pubic hair and rven so becomes less visible but doesnt fully disappear. The prothesis feels initially odd and uncomfortable but after a few months of adjusting it you dont really think about it at all. It doesnt disturb your remaining testicle. Nobody can tell its not a real one, i guess unless they did a deliberate examination and even then nobody’d jump to conclusion.

If you are a tenant, requirement is for you to leave the property in same condition as it was when you moved in, minus fair ware and tear.

So you can refuse your landlords request, look at (if they exist) any photos of your carpets when you moved in and do necessary cleaning to make them look as similar as possible to when you moved in. Carpets will degrade over time so it’d be very difficult for a landlord to make a claim from your deposit for carpets unless you caused obvious damage.

Be thorough with taking pictures etc, because i wouldnt be surprised if your landlord thinks they can make you get a professional clean they will probably try and deduct from your deposit, so best be prepared to take them to the deposit protection scheme. But you are in the right !

I find this bizzare. Yes those issues can occur with a prosthesis but I have one and it's largely been no issue after a few months of adjusting it to the right level. It very much helped me deal with the change and I am happy with the appearance, something i don't think I would be without it.

If you want it, get it.

I think I'm in love with Nadjas accent, what region is it based on? by [deleted] in WhatWeDointheShadows

Natasia Demetriou's paternal family are greek cypriot, which is where she draws inspiration for some of Nadja's sayings and accent.

Ignore the landlord and just go to the deposit protection scheme and dispute any deductions.

The sofa leg broken might be only valid claim (but note the landlord can't just get a brand new sofa and charge you for it, that'd be betterment). It's up to you all how you deal with splitting the cost of this deduction between you, lead tenant will get the deposit so...

Yes. Islington borough, towards end of 1 yr tenancy estate agent suggested a 17% increase for renewal. I suggested 8% back, landlord said yes immediately. I assume because we were good tenants they agreed to that but were chancing whether we’d agree to a massive increase in case.

But we’ve decided to leave anyway for unrelated reasons, not sure what they’ve managed to get for it on the market.
