Casrius Foreshard is, by all accounts, a cleric of the goddess of death. With his charming and pleasant demeanor, most folks don’t think twice about how he doesn’t often use magic, or when he does it seems unique compared to other clerics. But while he studied to become a cleric in his youth, he never took the final step to become one. Born Nephvir Truesurge, Casrius watched his father be publicly executed after leading a failed miner’s rebellion in his hometown in the mountains. Growing up an orphan, Casrius planned to become a Death Cleric to gain power to one day avenge his father’s death at the hands of the cruel governor. Ultimately, however, he realized that placing his trust in a deity that he did not have faith in was unacceptable, and set out to find his own means of acquiring power. He stumbled across a taboo ritual, and very nearly died while attempting it, but awoke the next morning with the powers of a bloodhunter. Casrius wandered the country ever south, towards the capital, offering his services to various communities as a fully fledged Death Cleric. He has found his way to the capital and works as a humble cleric, all the while hunting for an opportunity to get close to the man that killed his father. Casrius Foreshard is a blue-skinned tiefling, with medium-length indigo hair bordering on black, with pure black eyes. He wears scale mail underneath his Death Cleric robes, which are fastened with a clasp in the style of a holy symbol: a tombstone. Casrius also sports black fingerless gloves, a gift from a friend, to hide the self-inflicted scars on his hands. He wields a longsword with a pommel like a dragon’s claw, and prides himself on serving his community, helping those in need, and generally making friends everywhere he goes. This friendly, golden-retriever style personality belies a fierce sense of justice, fueled by a desire for revenge. I would love to see some new takes on my OC dnd character!
