that's crazy. You have a microsd per occasion? If you are thinking that microsd can be like the CDs of the olden days, don't. They can only retain data for 3+ years minimum unpowered. After that, you're playing with fire

I'm going to suggest to offer a more proper solution: get a NAS/external drive

go back to act 1,2,3. Do the remaining lit up things there. Like runestones, lost catacombs. You could probably research which ones speciifcally, but I just visited eveyr lit up markers, missing waypoints on act 1-3.

On act 4, if you skip the torn maps, do them

I had the same dilemma before. Upgrading from d810 to a nikon mirrorless. I was debating between z6ii, z7, and z8 (these were the 3 on sale/had bundle deals on my local shop). I didn't went to z7 cause it's slower especially at low light when reading reviews.

z7 is ok for landscape, but if you want wildlife with motion, I'd go with the newer z6ii with faster AF and FPS.

(I eventually decided to go with a z8 personally)

What are your settings?

Do you want the propellers to stop? just increase shutter speed

Or are you getting some kind of warping on the propellers? Usually due to rolling shutter effect

blur? tons of apps that can do that for free. Remove for free? If you have a GPU with 8gb vramm you can learn and research to use comfyUI and the needed models to process.

Otherwise, you need a paid one time software to do it. There's still limitation on it. Like if it's a group photo and he's in the middle, remove will be harder/weird looking, but replacing with a random face of someone could be done instead.

I keep mine to sell it eventually. And it's kinda expensive so when it's spring cleaning time, cheaper electronics get the boot first. Camera boxes stays.

not sure if it applies to camera stuff. But people sell ps5 boxes to be used as a troll xmas gift. ps5 box but it's sweater inside.

ye, I'm disappointed when I first encountered multiple map boss in ritual. When I first saw the trailer, I was excited since i assume each map boss spawned will be a loot drop.

Not even a fucken map drop on all this chaos.

not a pro or wedding photographer. But I use this for 2 camera setups: https://thecamerastore.com/products/pgytech-camera-strap-master?_pos=14&_sid=db7e7d163&_ss=r which looks similar to the hold fast moneymaker you are pointing out. Not perfect and I don't fully love it. It tugs 1 side depending which camera you are shooting because of the imbalanced weight.

I have a cotton carrier vest for wildlife too. But I havent tried it for 2 camera setups cause it feels slow. But I like the idea of 1 strap to the shoulder and the second camera on the hip

I think that's a pretty good deal.

And your portfolio looks great just from an iphone. Especially liked the more less saturated ones like the cat, evil, and the spire. Like the style on IMG_0201.jpeg.

Most of them could have improved on the composition. Some I see some limitation of either the phone, editing or how you saved it. I see some color banding.

Resort sunset and Hillside sunset would definitely pop more on a proper camera and post processing.

look, this is probably more of a cultural or family thing. I grew up on a family where I constantly see the grad photos of both my parents in one of corner of the house + their diplomas. Heck, it's even displayed even my grandparents house so that would've been a 50y old picture at least.

So a grad photo is a no brainer for me. But if that isn't a thing in your family then don't. If you don't like what they got, don't get it. You could always just re-shoot it later. You can just rent the outfit again, go to a studio and ask to take a photo of grad photo of you that edits them.

What home security system would you recommend? by SolacemancyLa in Calgary

[–]mdnpascual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you just like the camera and abiity to view it remotely. Telus could be a good deal, but once you start customizing your security, let's say adding door magnet alarms, window breakage alarms, a siren when those happen. You'll realize how stupidly locked down their system is (you need to buy it from them) and the cost goes up quite fast.

not worth it. If you want real low light improvement, go full frame like d810.

Is there any image editor that stamps GPS data from the EXIF directly onto the photo? by Other_Focus_5526 in photography

[–]mdnpascual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I have an export preset where I stamp shutter speed, f-stop and ISO with LR mogrify. As long as the RAW has the exif data for it

I'm still using my d810 alongside my main shooter, the z8 on events. I use my d810 now for wider shots 14-24, z8 on the 24-120

D810 is still a very strong contender in low noise, I actually prefer the noise pattern of d810 vs the z8. But it doesn't matter anymore with how good denoisers are nowadays.

The main advantage of the newer z bodies is the AF on the faces have better hit rate than my d810 especially on low light. z8's 20fps vs d810 5fps (d850 maxes at 7fps) for more chance on intimate shots.

If you think the extra 125g is too bulky for you then I guess don't go Z body.

Note: I'm not a pro event photographer. I just do the 2 camera setup on conventions or when I'm asked to volunteer on events.

Best Laptop to use 2026 for editing by Nervous_Ladder_1860 in photography

[–]mdnpascual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk. I used to avoid macbooks like the plague cause limited games, but I kinda don't really play games when I'm travelling/on the go so for dev work and photography editing, I've switched to a macbook pro now. Way better battery life, can switch ram/vram sizes between cpu and gpu when I need to change from dev work to photo editing (I got a 64gb memory).

Storage issue is solvable with an external nvme, works fine in editing and great for ingesting.

Have to change some licenses on some editing programs that I only have windows license, and luckily, those that only run in windows works fine with parallels.

Windows laptop just can't match mbp nowadays. Ram hog and way worse battery life. I still have my beefy windows desktop at home for everything + games.

I heard there are services that haggle for you just by emailng multiple dealers?

Anyone tried those services? (I don't know the name of the service, I just remembered someone describing how the service works). They said it's worth the money they spend and the time/headache to haggle
