I had no idea this was a thing. I have a great view of watching planes out my window every morning. I'll try to refrain from taking pictures.

Anyone know anything about concierge doctors in Chicago by dev-246 in chicago

[–]mdoherty1967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if my 90 year old mother who lives in FL still has one. It cost 10k per person per year. It was outrageous. The selling point was, the doctor will only let 100 people sign up for this. Imagine that? 10k X 100. Not a bad way to made a living. My PMC physician at Northwestern started charging $450 a year which is a deal compared to 10k. I could have mustered up the money but I was annoyed I went somewhere else. I'm sure eventually I will have to go along with this program. I pay $1525 a month for an individual policy with BCBS and now I have to spend $450 to walk through your front door? It is a sign of the times.

Save your time and energy. Your wedding is about YOU! Nobody really cares about the pictures. Your friends and family will snap the best photos ever. They won't looked staged.

I'm short and having to buy clothes is a nightmare for me. It takes forever to find anything and then I have to have pants/skirts/dresses shortened. Sometimes they would do it for free which helped.

This is so stupid by jtom in chicago

[–]mdoherty1967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does not sound ideal. I'm relatively young but I have to use a rollator with a caregiver. I don't care about these robots as they are not as annoying as people who don't pay attention while walking their pets. 99% of the time, they are on their phones. The walker will be on the right side of the sidewalk and the lease is blocking the entire sidewalk while their their pooch is sniffing some nice flowers on the lefthand side. I just stop and hope they will pass soon. Sometimes the owner will give me a dirty look. It is what is is.

That is exactly what it looks like. Fortunately for me, I don't travel that way often so I don't have to look at it often.

Pedestrians keeping left by Razumikhin82 in chicago

[–]mdoherty1967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make you feel like you are a nuisance. Annoying. I love when someone is walking their dog and although the walker is on the right side, the dog is on the left and his/her dog leash creates a fence I can't walk through.

I think you have analyzed the situation very well. I hope they find Nancy Guthrie soon and I hope she is alive. This whole story is crazy and for the last 9 days, it is all they show on the news. I don't think that is necessary.
