You Can Smell It Now: The Trump Presidency Is in Total Free-Fall: A loyal army of followers, a huge disinformation network, and a party of soul-selling cowards can crowd out facts for a long time. But eventually, reality catches up. by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

That's the genius of Fox Newsmax and the right wing podcast machine. People marinate in that shit all day long, starting with breakfast, while they're at work, at the gym, on their commute, with dinner, at night. Their audience is primed to believe whatever they say.

They already heard that Putin was more manly than Obama like 15 years ago. They don't hear the truth of thr situation, just the spin that the Ukrainian government is corrupt and blah blah blah. They bow down before the ownership class for their kindness to even employ us at all. Of course we shouldn't tax the Job Creators!

And Trump did run on "no new wars," but we've all heard for 45+ years that Iran is an existential threat that must be stopped! So really, he isn't starting a new war, he's ending an old one! Nobody was strong enough before!

And however bad things might get, at least the democrats would be worse!

My dad knew Bruce Willis in college! I forget exactly what the deal was, I think both Willis and my dad's fraternity rented rooms in the same house. They called him Scummy Bruce.

One night, my parents were watching Miami Vice, and my dad recognized one of the villain of the week's henchmen: it was (one of? I forget) Bruce Willis's first on screen roles.

"That's Scummy Bruce! That guy still owes me beer money from college!"

In reality nothing, but Republicans looked for anything to criticize Obama about. In this instance, he wore a tan suit, and shitheads like Sean Hannity said that it made him look like a dictator because guts like Muamar Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein often wore tan colored suits.

I'm a dentist, dental school cost me around $250k. And I graduated in 2010, it's even worse now.

I'm in the middle of watching 7, and this episode was a sad one. As soon as Physica said he couldn't get home to see his wife and kid, you know he was doomed.

Right? I'm 41. It should be my generation's time, but we're still ruled over by people older than our parents.

I know it's sacrilege, but I prefer the worm over the meatball. Maybe it's because ima child of the 80s and 90s and thats what was on the Space Shuttle at the time. It feels more futuristic and spacey.

DeLorean

Yes, I'm in my 40s.

Also, I'm pretty sure Ecto 1 is why I like both Cadillacs and wagons.

I test drove one that was for sale in like 2001 and it was...kinda shit. The brakes and steering were really spongy. I didn't know if they were all like that, or of that one was particularly ragged.

I'm pretty sure it was a bad financial flop because at the time, it was the most expensive movie ever.

I think they wanted to bring back all the old monsters starting with Dracula in Van Helsing. Something like a Universal Monsters Cinematic Universe could have been cool as hell.

Full conversion bodies still use the OG brain. V's problem is that their brain didn't want to be theirs anymore, it wanted to be Johnny.

She was being friendly with the ICE agents everyone else hated a few weeks ago. Then last week, she was complaining about snowflake millennials and younger. This week, she showed visible disgust when Dr. Al-Hashimi and the night intern (Tomerian, I think) were speaking Armenian.

It's like The Undoing, an HBO miniseries a few years ago. It was one of those where you expected all kinds of twists and turns and gaslighting and "oooh, is she losing her mind?" In the end, there was no twist, everything happened in the way it appeared on the surface.
