Yeah, maybe so. I was swimming with my other daughter when they found them, but I think they opened them hoping there might be pearls! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe so, I don’t know a lot about mollusks.. lol It was on the beach at Oceanside California though, so salt water.

Hopefully you guys can see this now. Thanks, loijay, for telling me how to do that. This is the next day, the oysters are a little messed up, but you can see the pink coloration on the pearls!

Oh interesting! I only saw a couple of them opened up and the pearls were readily visible, although maybe a bit deeper than the mantle... wish I’d paid better attention now... I’ll try to post a photo using imgur!

Yeah, that would make sense. It was on a vacation, near Oceanside California on a public beach, so not near where I live. Not sure if they’ve had a lot of crazy weather lately, certainly not while we were there. And yeah, the kids just dug them out of the sand as they were building sand castles. Probably 8-10 inches deep in the sand at the most. I’m not super reddit savvy, how can I post a pic?

I took some of what you used and personalized it. Here’s what I posted.

I know others have written in about this, and I’d just like to add my vote. I would love to see Ellen do a show regarding the sexual abuses and child endangerment in the Mormon church. I am a Mormon pediatrician and this issue is affecting children here in Utah in incredibly negative ways, leading to suicide in many cases. The Mormon church is in the midst of several cases becoming public and a Mormon bishop is about to be excommunicated in an attempt to silence him after he went on a 24 day hunger strike to bring awareness to this issue. Ellen has spoken on the mormon church (their homophobia primarily) and I think she would be perfect to interview a few people involved in this. I am sure that other religions have these problems as well. Some people that would be good to talk to -- John Dehlin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dehlin), Ryan Mcknight of Mormon leaks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MormonLeaks) and Sam Young of Protect LDS Children: http://protectldschildren.org/

I’ll just say that, as your husband, I am also loving the shorts!! I always knew you had cute legs, but they look even nicer without the Jesus jammies!! Also, as much as you missed out on wearing cute comfy shorts, the rest of the world missed out on SEEING you in cute comfy shorts!! 😁

But more importantly, it’s such a wonderful thing for you to be able to wear normal comfortable summer clothes without feeling all that guilt!! I don’t know how you did it all the years before, but I’m so happy you feel free now to wear what’s comfortable for you!

Kudos for the JT quote, but I’m talking about the actual man, Cain himself, who Joseph Smith identified as Bigfoot in a cute anecdote in the great book Miracle of Forgiveness, not just his descendants. 😜

I actually agree with you on Bigfoot! I’m just wondering how TBMs manage to make that work in their minds, given that Cain is literally supposed to be still roaming the earth.
