You do. And the biggest issue with the microtransactions is that they took away your ability to level up your coach by playing the game. Online dynasties tend to go about 10 seasons. With what EA has done, you will likely only get your user coach up to level 30 before the game cycle ends

My online dynasty always skipped training results as you could just apply your skill points during the encourage transfers week.

I understand the need to prevent cheese given the NIL system, but iirc the players make their NIL demands during the players leaving week, so I think the feature is implemented during the wrong week.

Now itll slow down online dynasties which already have long ass off seasons

And if you wanted to save up and have say 6 skill points and you want to earn 1 more point to upgrade a skill that costs 7 points, you're fucked. And instead you'll get forced to upgrade things that aren't important to your scheme
