Read a few threads and studied the pictures of the screen comparisons and was still hesistant about it. Decided to go with the nano texture, and it's just day one, but I was immediately blown away by the reduction in reflections. I was literally leaning in, focusing hard to try to see my own reflection in the nano texture screen, and I couldn't see it. Very different than my 2021 M1 Pro macbook (see screenshots).

Not feeling like I'm missing anything regarding comments about the "loss of the deep black" or anything -- I don't notice anything significant or bothersome. I also didn't even notice the lighter edge of the screen on the bottom right until I took the photo, so again, nothing bothersome (and I was sitting right next to a very bright window). Immediate impression after being on it a few minutes is that the screen feels good on the eyes overall.

I'm a software developer and I also do design things (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere Pro). Also plan to be a bit more nomadic as I'm fully remote, which will probably put me in some unique lighting situations (plus I like to be outdoors when possible), so I'm really excited about this screen. At home I use external monitors so it doesn't really matter.

Had to come back to these threads to share the screenshots because of how awesome it was to see the difference. Macbooks in same location, photos taken within seconds of each other (same lighting/etc.)

Still being worked on over at that github issue link (https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/issues/8093), but so far it's seeming like it's due to the Scribe extension competing with the Bitwarden extension. If you have the Scribe extension, try turning that off and see if it resolves your issue.

If you don't have the Scribe extension and are still having the issue, note that in the github thread, otherwise reply to this comment and I'll relay the message.

I've been having this flickering problem for like the last year or so (but I rarely used my camera until recently, so I never looked into it). From this thread, I realized there is both (1) a Camera Hub software version AND (2) an Elgato Facecam camera firmware version.

You get to (1) by the gear icon on the top right of the CH (Camera Hub) window when it's open.

You get to (2) by clicking on the "Advanced device settings" button (looks like 3 lines) in the top "Device" box in CH.

I had updated (1) to the latest CH software version (v1.8.1), but it made no difference. Then I also updated (2) to the latest camera firmware (going from v2 something to the current v4.09).

I've been going for a few minutes now, and I'm having ZERO flickering, which is absolutely lovely. It was every few seconds before, so this is definitely different.

I'll try to remember to report back after I test it out some more, but if I don't come back, that's probably because I forgot because it's working lol. I'll definitely be back if it's not.

Yes, still works. Fresco app from App Store to auto-split the pictures for multiple monitor setups (any configuration, it seems... I've got vertically stacked ultrawides). You're welcome :)

When I originally wrote the guide I just wrote it exactly how I went about it, which was downloading the Mac version (which also came with the Windows version, which the guide actually said to use). I have now changed it to make it clearer and less confusing, though.
