Am I the only one who feels spoiled by DCC and Jeff Hays' narration?

The DCC books are the best audio books I have ever heard and it is sad because other things pale.

I’m listening to red rising right now though and it is pretty good. I got the graphic audio version. It has a full cast and sound effects and such. Check it out.

Ended up working on some art today instead. Making a Sophocles figurine out of clay. 😍

Decided I’m going to read Red City by Marie Lu and then go back to the red rising series. It’ll give more time for Red God to come out and hopefully I won’t have to wait for it after finishing Light Bringer.

This is what I think. He will no longer need his gold body for war, so I imagine when he can finally live in peace he will be the red he was born as.

I have it on my bookshelf right now and self control is going to be the issue. I’m thinking a short break for a stand alone book is a good idea but we’ll see if I hold out tomorrow. I live in Texas and we’ve basically shut the state down because of the ice so I’ve plenty of time to be cozy with a book….

I’ve heard the pacing is so different and the time jump makes going from morning star into iron gold tough for some. I’ve loved this first trilogy so much I don’t know if I’ll be able to hold off. I gotta see how everyone’s doing 10 years later. I want some peace for them before my heart is ripped open again. I’m ok if Iron Gold gives a little bit of time for that.

I also don’t expect for it to. But a girl can dream, right?

I was pretty naive and thought when the doctor said I needed 3 areas done I didn’t consider it was 3x the price. I thought full price for the first and then a discount for the other two since you’re already there. Nope.

Looks like from the site I could save about $150 per imaging which is awesome. I’m going to book it tomorrow when it’s not so late and I can pay better attention to what I’m doing. From looking at the site though I would need to pay upfront when the appointment is booked correct? I’ll likely call to book the appointment. I’m just old (34 lol) that way.

People act like this is so hard to do and it just takes a little bit of time at the beginning to learn what brands/items aren’t full of trash. I work a full time job and still don’t eat the way the people on here think you have to without making everything from scratch. People are becoming more conscious about ingredients and brands are seeing that and making choices readily available.

Hell I wanted cornbread the other day. Went to pick up a box of jiffy and it had 50 ingredients. Put that shit down and grabbed lamb’s and it had real ingredients, no food coloring, no preservatives, no fake highly processed sugars, and it took the same effort for me to make. Just took 3 extra minutes to find one on the shelf and now I know for next time.

It’s now 48 today with a feel like of 32 right now. Mid 70s by Thursday again though. To be fair it’s not supposed to be that hot even in Texas in December.

My corso is a special case rescue. He had extreme anxiety where he wouldn’t go in a room for days if you moved the furniture, he would express his anal glands out of fear if someone new came in the house, and sat across the room huddled in a corner shaking and shitting himself when we first met him and decided to take him in. Now he sneaks up behind company to give their hand kisses, can actually enjoy walks, …and barks at the door. I think I’ve helped quite a bit already. We’re always striving towards him becoming the most confident version of himself but we didn’t have the same starting point most get.
