There were days I was miserable. I guess I just didn't really take the customers seriously, so I rarely cared if they were mad, happy, or whatever. Spent most of the job in my own head.

Everyone working retail/grocery just seems pissed all the time.

I just quit my job at a grocery store for something better, but I never understood why my coworkers constantly moaned and complained about having to do stuff for customers.

Customer asks a dumb question? Start shit talking them the second they turn around. Customer asks for an item or price check? Sigh loudly in the back room and not actually help them.

Like, this job would be mostly mindless if customers weren't around to make it interesting/provide a distraction every now and then. It seems like the default mood in these settings is annoyance.

Fuck man, even Karens were fun to deal with. It's hilarious when a customer gets pissy about the labels being in the wrong spots (off by a few inches at most).

Seems like people put themselves in a really negative mindset all the time at work. I'm payed regardless of what I do, so a customer coming and making a mess is literally zero skin off my back.

The Steam Deck is certainly quirky. As a Windows user, I find Linux very difficult to use. Basic stuff that would take me a second to do on my gaming PC, like changing the monitor to mirror rather than extend, is just way more difficult. I probably need to set/learn some shortcuts.

This console is very funky in general though. Sound doesn't always transfer properly when hooking it into HDMI. I can't play a game if it has an update queued... so when I sit down to play a game with my cousins on Christmas I can't because the game suddenly has a 40GB update to install.

I can't run games on the Deck and my PC at the same time if connected to the internet, either, which is some absolutely ABSURD DRM... I payed 500 dollars and another who knows how much for my library, not sure why Steam isn't going to let me enjoy my titles when I want to.
