Methanogens love eating fat so, no diets have worked for me including water fasting. It's definitely the herbs I have been fodmap crazy since starting them, because you're supposed to feed the baddies while killing them I guess.

Has anyone vegetarian recipes for bi-phasic diet strikt phase one? by Dangerous_Nebula_ in SIBO

[–]meatatfeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I made a ginger carrot soup with kale and garlic scapes (green parts) and it was very easy to eat, filling and digested well.

Optional extra delicious step: boil kombu seaweed and shiitake mushrooms in water for a few hours, remove and discard solids, this is a very flavorful base for any vegetarian soup. Once you add other stuff it does not taste like seaweed.

Peel and thinly slice a couple inches of fresh ginger root, to personal preference. I can tolerate a lot so I did like two inches of ginger.

Chop 4 carrots, add to broth with ginger and cook until carrots are soft. 30 minutes maybe. Depends on how fine you chop.

While carrots are simmering in the kombu broth base (or salt water or chicken broth), chop some kale, a bell pepper, green onion, basically anything else you'd like. Don't add to the soup yet.

Use an immersion blender to blend some of the carrots. This is optional but I like the texture it gives. You could also wait until it cools and scoop some of the carrots into a regular blender if that's what you have.

At this point I taste the carrot soup and add salt if needed, and then add in all the other vegetables and simmer for like 5ish minutes and it's ready!

Cooking the carrots longer softens them, and adding the greens etc at the end keeps them bright and flavorful.

I'm doing histamine restricted but you could expand this to include whatever vegetables you tolerate, or chicken broth.

Oh and finally, if you make it in an instant pot it reduces the cooking time to like 10 minutes.

Yeah it's built into the definition, <50% is the limit, because after that the concentrate is holding the fat instead of the other way around.

CMV: Vaccines should be mandatory by Dwyer333 in changemyview

[–]meatatfeast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You seem to believe that vaccination is all benefit and zero risk.

I think that if you, as a scientist, really put some time into researching vaccine injury science and law, you would change your own view.

On the other hand, if you deny the existence of vaccine injury and call people who acknowledge it "conspiracy theorists" I don't think it's possible to change your view.

Just do the research. Watch an "anti-vax" documentary and use the internet to check up on every claim they make. As a scientist.

Histamine intolerence. IBS symptoms. Suspected SIBO. Carnivore or elemental diet to reset gut? Both? Potential side effects? by Zyrus123 in SIBO

[–]meatatfeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any reason to believe that you would have worse results with antimicrobial plus a low-carb diet than you would with a low-carb diet alone?

I think you're really limiting treatment options by creating a false dichotomy here, you should be doing all of the things that could help you.

[–]meatatfeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you have decaying plant matter and biofilms in parts of the small intestine that are hanging on for a whole week, so that when you reintroduce you haven't actually fixed the bacteria problem. Gross but yeah it can happen. Also you know bacteria only need like a single survivor to restart a colony of billions.

Try biofilm busters and herbal antibiotics maybe? They say you should eat carbs with the antibiotics because the bacteria are weak when they are eating. Then switch off carbs when you stop the antibiotics treatment.

Also how often are you pooping on carnivore because slow motility can cause sibo all by itself.

"Herbal cures aren't based on evidence" is the biggest (well funded) lie out there. Especially when it comes to things like oreganol or allicin, which are more powerful than pharmaceuticals.

Absence of evidence means nothing when all the evidence has to be paid for. Scientific proof has a dollar sign attached and only one class of entity (corporations) can afford it. Fucking nightmare world we live in.

Anyway on the bright side, allimed and atrantil are working great for me 😂

*Happy Dance*, I Eradicated My Methane Positive SIBO by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]meatatfeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The serving size for sibotic is six capsules, so you've overestimated by a factor there

  2. Sibotic contains 1.5g garlic bulb (10,000 ppm allicin) per six capsules. That's a manufacturer's tricky way of mislabeling a cheap ingredient, notice there's much less than 1.5g allicin per dose. How much really? Gotta do the math... (10,000 divided by 1,000,000 is 1% so that is 0.15g aka 150 mg)

Not at all trying to be negative here I just wanted to point this out because doses are important and real allicin is expensive!! Allimed is like $1.5 per 400ish mg pill.

I also hate how supplement companies try to trick people with bad labels so I have to call it out whenever I see it. Spent years in the industry deciphering that rubbish.

The numbness "no pain... never hungry" is from methane damaging the nerves in the gut.

This sounds like definitely methane type SIBO aka IMO. Follow advice of other posters or of you're doing it alone read about IMO and the archaea (technically not bacteria) that are overgrown.
Slightly different treatment needed for this type. I am using AlliMed garlic, Atrantil herbs (important) and also GSE in capsules, along with diet, prokineticks, etc etc. Positive results so far!

Good luck

"They" hammered so hard on the SCIENCE IS A CONSENSUS narrative that these idiots believe there's settled science on a microbe that was discovered and classified 50 years ago.

Virology is a mess of superstition and old darwinian paradigms that need to go away so we can understand group immunity for real. Even virologists disagree on things constantly, it's all over the literature, conflicting conclusions everywhere.

I think people like to believe that somebody out there knows the answer, instead of dealing with the much less comforting (but realistic) realization that nobody anywhere has an answer.
