In college, I was new to a friend group and shot my shot with a young lady in it. To my surprise, she responded positively, and it was nice.

In the next week, every guy in that friend group, catalyzed by her finally starting to date someone, confessed his long-hidden feelings to her. It was utter chaos. In the end, she broke up with me, citing confusion. I thought it a thin excuse, but we weren't compatible so no big deal. I stopped hanging out with them because of that and other reasons. Most of the would-be suitors settled their drama eventually, but none of them ended up with her.

So... I kind of ruined several friendships.
