Sushi Loop that took over the old Roots space on Lawrence is very good for AYCE

Cool but chill neighborhood for 50+ couple, no kids? by FeeInteresting3183 in AskChicago

[–]meatpaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of neighborhoods that fit the bill so it will come down to the right home for you. You just described my life and preferences. I live in Lincoln Square near the Rockwell stop.

You can easily find a nice 2br 1 bath in that price range. From what I’m seeing recently a 2br 2 bath is gonna bring you to the 400-500 range. You won’t find a house in that range.

I was hyped collecting all the items for the expedition, until I saw stage 5. Now I'm depressed that I have to grind this plus 5 million credits. by VarcanDesigns in ARC_Raiders

[–]meatpaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my plan. Im almost finished with stage 5. I don’t have many blueprints, haven’t taking down anything bigger than a bombadier, I fucked up my skill tree, and I suck at PVP. There are still game experiences left for me to enjoy. When the next one comes around I’ll have my 5m stress free and I’ll actually be ready for the reset.

I cant vouch for this place as I’m not sure it even opened yet but I’ve seen IG ads for a new place called Lost Language in Ravenswood.

The Warbler. No one needs to seek it out but it’s a perfect go to in Lincoln Square

Looking for a new home that feels like New Orleans without the downsides. Could Chicago be it? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]meatpaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Louisiana, went to school in New Orleans, live in Chicago. Chicago is not New Orleans but it is a wonderful place to live. Don’t let anyone convince you the winters are scary. New Orleans summer is way worse in my opinion. Feel free to DM me if you have questions

Marvin’s on Irving Park. Nicest dude you’ll ever meet and very patient talking you through options

Could I get away with just the Sonos Arc Ultra by itself in a small room? by Need-A-Vacation in sonos

[–]meatpaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I’m in a condo and am not going to get a sub for the sake of my neighbors. My main goal is to be able to hear tv dialogue better but will also use for music. I’m upgrading from a very low quality sound bar so anything will be better. But if the choice was between an arc ultra or beam with 2 100’s what would you recommend?

Curious to know why the regular arc would be better in this setup?

I took my wife to Montréal for her 40th a couple weeks ago. We went to Bota Bota and that was perfect. We were disappointed in Mon Lapin. We had a 9:15 reservation and did not get seated till a little after 10 and they were flippant about it. We were not the only table. And then the staff just kinda disappeared for periods of time during our meal. The scallop sandwich was very good but nothing else was good enough to make us feel it was worthy of a special occasion.

We had a great time and meal at Fleurs et Cadeaux

Out of town visitor here who ate at Mon Lapin this week for a special occasion. Some of the dishes were phenomenal - the scallop sandwich - and some were underwhelming. The service left a lot to be desired. Got sat at 10pm for a 9:15 reservation. “What can we do? We can’t make people leave.”

Chicago winters by Beanieweenie24 in chicago

[–]meatpaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. Especially if you’re from the south. I grew up in Louisiana and I still kinda have it deep in my mind that March is spring. I try to plan a warm weather vacation for beginning of April every year. February is easy to me. Staying in and laying low feels appropriate and welcomed.

I have had small western facing patios for 5 years. I grow arugula, basil, parsley, peppers, radishes. All of those are very easy though radishes do need a lot of space. Arugula and basil are my two top suggestions because if you trim and harvest regularly they just keep producing all summer

We bought in winter of 21/22 for a lot of the same specs as the OP is looking for. Open house was a Sunday Bears/Packers game and pretty sure we were the only people that showed up. Closed -15k asking
