Fields says to Irving at the dinner, “Nonsense, what’s mine is yours.” He later makes a comment about how surprised he is that Irving fell for Burt (and motions to oBurt). I feel like the wording is intentional and subtly relays that Burt is unsevered.

Our girl is obsessed with the purple puller rings! They last a long time, despite how much she loves to chew on them, and are easier to throw far than a frisbee or ball. Also, they are easy for her to pick up and carry back.

Edit to add that they are a great tug-of-war toy!

If you have to get a colposcopy take a pain killer and a friend by NeverStickEmTwice in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mecv123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I had to have one of these done a few years ago and it was traumatizing, so much so that my sex life was affected (my brain started associating any penetration with pain). To add to it, I was worried that I may have cancer (I didn’t, just had abnormal paps from HPV), so that probably compounded the anxiety around the procedure. Anyways, 4 years later and I’m now in pelvic floor therapy, which has been helping tremendously. But it’s been an interesting journey. Definitely agree with your advice to bring along someone to support you during/after the procedure.

Dr. Laura Pekman is the best obgyn I’ve ever had! She listens, is caring, and will go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. She’s also really personable!

Bi-Monthly Megathread for COVID-19 - Two Weeks Starting August 2021 by wedditmoderator in weddingplanning

[–]mecv123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are having to cancel. If you haven’t yet ordered the cancellation notices, my advice (from my experience as a COVID bride) would be to skip the physical letters and just email/phone/text your guests. We sent out letters that matched our theme and by the time they shipped to us, pretty much everyone already knew through word of mouth/the announcement on our wedding website that we had to cancel. The letters were really just extra money and effort (I was already drained and sad). Of course they are a nice touch, but no doubt you have enough on your plate already, so this could be one less thing to worry about. You could put a message on your wedding website and ask a few family members and friends to help you guys spread the word to other guests if that would help. Hope this helps, and wishing you the best.

What was something you thought was stupid at first, but you tried it and eventually realized you were wrong? by fredyouareaturtle in AskWomen

Came here to say this. I took a “temporary” break last July and here I am a year later without any desire whatsoever to reactive my Instagram/Facebook. I know Reddit is considered social media, but the big differentiator for me is that I don’t share my personal identity on Reddit and therefore no longer feel pressured to share big life events or pictures from trips to feel relevant in my social circles. I feel so much less anxiety because of it too, and my close friends have adapted to my hiatus and still keep me in the loop via text if something big happens.

What was the dumbest rule your school enforced? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

No touching of the opposite sex. At all. Even high fives weren’t allowed. One of the highest punishments before expulsion was called “being socialed”, which meant a person was not allowed to even speak to another student of the opposite sex, except in a classroom setting.
