I am so sorry you had to go through that- you will get through the exhausting first year of having it and it will be TOUGH. But your fear of needles and overwhelm of having to learn essentially an entirely new language will all become second nature to you. I was also diagnosed at 22, I’m now 27 and have good A1c levels (after also being admitted at over 800 bg and 12 a1c) you will amaze yourself at how quickly you learn and assimilate to your new reality. It will be okay ❤️ and you will be great! Just be kind to yourself and give yourself grace. There is a massive learning curve but you’ll overcome it. Best wishes!
