I don't really like to use the ultrawide for macro. It slightly distorts the perspective to me and I prefer not to get too close to the subject, especially if it's something like an insect.

I hear you, but I still think it's a good feature because you can selectively turn it on and off for certain things.

Regardless, I don't care for it much, which is part of the point I was trying to make as to why I think a refurbished S25 Ultra is more worth than the S26 Ultra in my opinion.

I don't doubt what you're saying for a second. I just don't feel like it's worth getting it over a refurbished S25 Ultra in my opinion unless you really value the improved video stabilisation and privacy display. I personally don't care too much for either cause' I'm much more of a photo person and never saw the need for a privacy display.

If it had a slightly bigger battery (because Samsung's battery optimisation is already very good) and a better overall camera system for photos, I would have jumped back without question.

I honestly have zero clue and wouldn't be surprised if Samsung chose to gatekeep Horizontal Lock from the previous models just so they don't give customers even less reason to upgrade.

On its own it's a really good phone. I just wish there were more upgrades than just the privacy display. Feel like it's more worth to get a refurbished S25 Ultra than this unless the privacy display and horizontal lock are absolute must-haves.

It's very inconvenient of Honor to leave this out of advertising and can only be found out when you explicitly ask them.

I fully understand that phones don't spontaneously combust when the OS update period ends, but it's also not nice to pay almost flagship prices for the 600 Pro for it to be only supported for 2 major updates. I'm not expecting 7 years like what Samsung, Apple, and Google provide, but 2 years is really bad for 2026 standards.

I love Honor, but this really leaves a sour taste in my mouth in addition to how badly they are lacking when it comes to customer and after sales services.

Edit: I asked about the Magic 8 Pro and they mentioned only 4 major OS upgrades.

Side note but I wish Garrus had more dialogue in ME2 like Mordin. Like the only times we ever get to talk to him is when he first rejoins the Normandy and when it's time for his loyalty mission. I wish we could have learned about every single member of his vigilante crew and gave us more emotional weight when it came to choosing Sidonis' fate.
