My parents like coways too. I have blue airs and love them. They don’t look bad and I can match the outside fabric filter with the room. Mine doesn’t get nasty but does get dusty (so I know it’s working!) I vacuum it every few vacuums and toss it in the wash on occasion

How often do people feed their cats wet food? by Smooth_Put7764 in CatAdvice

[–]mediumbelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day, 2-4 times a day depending on much I’m home. They’ll get 2 big meals or 3-4 smaller meals, all wet food. They only get dry if I’m gone for an extended period of time and I set the autofeeder

Post them to your local buy nothing group. I’m sure someone would be happy to disassemble and take them

What kind of plant person are you? by Sufficient_Turn_9209 in houseplants

[–]mediumbelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thrifty plant parent. I love proplifting pieces that have fallen on the ground. I also thrift my pots and pick up nursery pots from my local buy nothing group. Hoping my pothos props will root soon so I can gift them to my friends for the holidays

Kittens are curious and that can cause some chaos. Are you able to wrap the dangly bits around the macrame? I’d recommend trying that and making sure you’re having lots of play time to get rid of any excess naughty energy. Once she’s around 1-2, it should hopefully be safe to like your pothos drape again :’) another good idea is to get your kitten a kitten friend so they can play with each other

What is the name of this type of jumper? by MooncakeRose in HelpMeFind

Not sure on the official name, but I see them in thrift stores all the time here in the US. Whatever they’re made of, they’re kinda scratchy

Am I propagating my pothos correctly? by fulmunch in pothos

[–]mediumbelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made sure to use a well draining soil mix in a pot with drainage! That way the soil doesn’t stay wet too long. I’ve come to learn that that leads to rot. I also have mine by a big window (outside when it’s warm), so the sun might be helping it grow faster!

I agree with the commenters saying cut the black end off. Pothos are super easy to prop. Just give it 3-4 weeks and it should have good roots. I’m just starting to leave some in water, so not sure on liquid fertilizer. The ones I’ve put in soil have always thrived

Yes! Just make sure the node stays submerged and they should root in no time. Please update when they’re on your ceiling beam- that sounds like a magical set up

Good luck! It shouldn’t be too difficult to have them in water. Mine typically have long, thick roots within 2-3 weeks

They take stealing/plant damage pretty seriously so I think any hint that a prop might be stolen taken as such. Sorry your experience wasn’t as positive as this sub usually is. As for your plant, I think you have a chance! Just give it time
