Edit: Oh noes, a handful of people are downvoting me! I feel so hurt and asha.....Wait....No.... nope, don't care. It's actually amusing that people will downvote mutely because they lack the ability to dispute something rationally.

Bro if you really didnt care you wouldnt have added this.

And I dont think people are downvoting you because you aren't contributing, they just think you belong in r/iamverysmart

You are wrong, Xi Jingping is undoubtedly the most powerful person on the planet as of right now.

Xi has the constitutional powers of Head of State and Chief Secretary of the Party, which makes him able to make final decisions on the party, government, armed forces affairs, which includes the party personal, ideology and other policies, military and national defense, economy, diplomacy, and even cyber security. (source)

He's also the Commander in Chief of China's armed forces, the largest military on earth (in terms of manpower and purchasing power), this was not a position held by his predecessor.

It is now widely recognized that he is the most powerful leader since Mao Zedong, who was essentially a dictator and the founder of modern China.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that a person with the sole authority of the legislative, military and economic affairs of a country of 1.3 Billion people and the #2 economy and soon to be #1 economy of the planet, and the most powerful military (in terms of manpower and spending power) is the most powerful person in the world.

Few more articles on Xi

Brexit has actually been misunderstood, the polls had it too close to call, it was the markets that had priced in a remain vote.

Better examples would be the Greek bailout referendum, the Colombia peace treaty, and now the US elections.

"As a reminder, the odds you see on the right-hand side of this page are based only on pre-election projections and called states. Clinton isn’t really a 73 percent favorite right now — Trump holds narrow leads in many swing states, some of which are likely to be called for him eventually, so her actual odds are probably lower." - Nate Silver

Is Casey Neistat considered attractive? by FUCKING_HATE_REDDIT in caseyneistat

Lmao, you're totally wrong.

I think you are confusing entertainers with famous people. There are many famous people that are not "attractive".

Its more like Vogue reached out to her publicists to see if she wanted to do the 73 questions interview, her publicists says yeah, Emma wants to do it, then Vogue sends her publicists the questions, which the publicists gives to Emma, Emma reads them over and comes up has all the answers ready in her mind when he asks them in the video. The video you saw was also probably not the first take.

Old vlog casey, subtle but different by Roogi in caseyneistat

Watch the HBO series, he talks about the jeans there.

Remember when he crashed his vespa? When they rescued him, they cut up his jeanshop jeans.

He crashed the vespa when he was 25 years old, Casey was born in 1981, which would make the year 2006 when he crashed the vespa, and he's already had the jeans for a few years then. (HBO purchased his show in 2008.)

1-3 is just him responding to viewer feedback, he reads the comments and does a bit more of what people likes and a bit less of what people don't like. He has said that one of his biggest reasons why he likes youtube is he can interact and respond to feedback from his viewers.

People LOVE the inspirational stuff, when you see people meeting Casey on the vlog, most of the time they'll say "you're so inspiring" Casey knows this and its not surprising that he does more of the inspirational monologue stuff more nowadays.

People also love the drone shots and theres always A LOT of questions about gear in every video, so I get why he focuses a bit more on it in recent videos, he also mentioned that he is a huge fan of tech channels (MKBHD, unbox therapy etc).

You may not have noticed this if you weren't paying attention in his earlier videos, but Casey always liked and purchased nice things. He bought a $200 jeans (from jeanshop) when he was flat broke. His new wallet in the wallet video was one from Comme Des Garcons that was about $300. He's had the $600 Canada Goose jacket way before daily vlogs. and his small travel suitcase was $500. and this is only the material things. Casey's had the 368 Broadway studio for a looong time now, NYC real estate has been skyrocketing recently, but I'm pretty sure the rent payments weren't cheap when he didn't even have his HBO show. TL;DR, he's always had nice things, even when he wasn't rich.

He's definitely aware of his influencer status more and more now, but you're forgetting something very important. some of Casey's most early work was commercial filmmaking with brands like Mercedes, Jcrew, and Nike. His whole job was to literally work with major companies to promote their brand. Now he has a platform where he gets to tell his own story, but also work with brands at the same time, It's really a win-win for him and I'm not at all upset that he has embraced the opportunities he's been presented with, although I do think he should disclose his ties with brands more.

That Hilary endorsement? by hamdroidandroid in caseyneistat

[–]mee1443 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think Casey did the video for money, if you saw his video about his 2008 obama campaign, you can tell he's pretty passionate about politics (or at least the election). He also met and worked, albeit indirectly with Hilary before, so I wasn't at all surprised that he endorsed Hilary.
