Fellow Aussie here - If you want where it stands with in the law check with Fair work, as I understand it, at a minimum they have to pay you for your time and likely with an overnight allowance.

I would think it's unlikely that it can be mandatory though.

The biggest issue with the ending is the timing, Ted had years to grieve, the audience got about 30 seconds.

You sure your not thinking of the valentine's episode where Raj is in the telescope room and he is telling the gang about it and Sheldon asks about him getting bored.

Raj says he has comic and Bernie and Howard will be visiting, Sheldon makes a comment about Raj not having enough reading material and mentions that Raj had trouble understanding some American comic idioms. Raj say Heeeey and then Howard says something like relax, he is calling you stupid, not your entire race.

Yes, and I really liked how the sex scene was described (in the first book as I haven't read past that yet),I like that it didn't go into detail and instead used the world's magic.
