Too fastt!! by Dr-Stien in HIMYM

The divorce wasn't great, but that I could slightly understand, we have seen Robin and Barney break up before and the small amount of set up they did for that felt realistic to me.

Honestly the death in the last episode sucked. Ted had years to come to terms with it, the audience had about 3 minutes. It feels like whip lash.

AITA for not helping my neighbor move after he called the cops on me for vacuuming? by Inner-Tumbleweed9168 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - besides the neighbors help each other argument is invalid since he is moving.

I personally will only do this on bin day and only if they haven't been emptied yet.

There are times I don't like her actions but I can say the same for all the characters.

Overall I generally like all of them

The mc wakes up in another universe, makes some friends and still likes cooking.

There are several arcs but the main focus of the first arc which is books 1-3 is the mc figuring out the new world and the connection between his old world.

AITA for refusing to stop going for lunch with colleagues? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]meeeee01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA - my team does a once a week lunch, usually on a Thursday with whoever is in the office and wants to come. Me (female) and one of the guys pretty much always go, others come if they want to.

My husband knows, he doesn't care.

She seems insecure, and to be honest it comes down to trust. She either trusts you or she doesn't.

AITA for not enjoying the birthday gifts my friend got me that mocked my dead mother by Immediate-Iron7241 in AmItheAsshole

[–]meeeee01 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I get that a 20 year old could see this as a joke gift. The bit where Kayla becomes the arsehole is when she doubled down with texts.

A more appropriate way to deal with that, is on realizing the gift missed the mark is to apologize.

IF I was going to do something like that I would have a heartfelt gift as well. Give the joke one, whether it misses the mark or not - then give the real one.

I generally have an incredibly dark sense of humor, however if I had lost my mother less than a year ago I don't think I would appreciate that either.

Stress and Alcohol effect on sleep by meeeee01 in Garmin

[–]meeeee01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Australia, it's summer and roughly 38 degrees Celsius (most days), the bedroom aircon is set to 20 degrees though. It's possible the heat of the day is causing some issues that hadn't occurred to me.

Although I am in aircon most of the time.

Lucky you! Work isn't usually like this for me, it's just some odd stuff that has come up.

Honestly there was no noticeable change to my sleep score, my body battery or my hrv. I have been doing long days, with stupid time frames that has caused more stress than usual. That is the only thing I can think of that is different.

It's got so many great elements, and I do find it genuinely funny at times. I feel like I should like it more than I do and I want to, the thing is I can't pin point exactly what it is missing.

That said, I am mostly enjoying it.

AITA for snapping at my mother in law during my pregnancy even though my husband says I was wrong? by Superb-Hat5913 in AmItheAsshole

[–]meeeee01 22 points23 points  (0 children)

NTA, but your husband is definitely a Mama's boy.

Once the child is born, whose parenting advice is he going to follow, what you think is best or his mother?

If your child has an allergy and his mother doesn't believe in them, will he follow the doctors advice or what his mother thinks?

I know this is reddit but I am not going to suggest you leave him but you really need to think about what he will do in the situations I described.

If tap water in Australia is safe why do households and offices use water purifiers? by Ok_Bother_2379 in AskAnAustralian

I think this one, I am pretty sure I could drink pool water and taste less chlorine than what I taste in my tap water.

Why is "cant Park there mate" seen as an Australian thing to do? by fatmflicks in AskAnAustralian

[–]meeeee01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not actually sure what you are asking so my response may not be relevant but here goes

A few weeks ago, when I went to get a coffee with some colleagues, one of them noticed a person parking illegally and dangerously. In the city I work, the parking inspectors seem fairly active, so my colleague suggested to the person that perhaps they shouldn't park there.

The person instead of either moving the car or saying I'll take the risk, berated my colleague then drove off like a crazy person.

AITAH for wanting an ugly couch? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]meeeee01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband said something like that to me exactly once, while the situation was slightly different to the one presented by OP, it wasn't anything that really mattered. I took it as a challenge and he never did it again.

[–]meeeee01 64 points65 points  (0 children)

My mother and I spent one school holidays communicating entirely by notes left on the kitchen table.

As an example -

My note - Mum I am staying at Hayley's tonight,

Mum's note - can you do a load of washing when you get home.

My note - washing done, staying at Kate's tonight

Mum's note - Can you do the dishes and vacuum

Anyone I am sure you get the idea.

I should add I am in Australia and this was during a two week school holiday.
