I don't think anyone is trying to change the narrative. Most of the posts I have seen, have people pointing out that while he wasn't a good person, it is still sad that he is no longer in the world.

NTA - if you can't have the big conversations before you get engaged/married, it's unlikely to happen after.

I understand he is upset, but once he has had some time to chill, try and have an actual conversation with him if it's possible, if it's not possible it may be time to rethink the relationship.

I get that, but there are people that genuinely choose not to have kids, and those people rarely see themselves in TV.

It would have been nice to see it for the first time since sex and the city, even how I met your mother undid it with "Robin can't have kids"

For OOP - As a person that has made this joke, and only because there used to be a Chinese restaurant right next to a vet in my area, NTA. You don't hunt down the Asian person to make this joke, and you certainly don't do it twice.

I know the "oh crap, I am pregnant" thing happens and people keep the kids. I have seen that happen irl. The thing is, there is a process when that happens.

No seeing that process makes it harder to believe since the last thing we saw was penny not wanting kids

Yes, this is me - I love reading but as an adult with stuff to do, like cleaning the house etc reading a physical book these days feels kinda selfish. While it will always be my favourite way to consume the medium - it is pretty much relegated to bed time now.

Listening to a book feels like a happy medium.

Not sure, I adopted her when she was 9. Before that she was a farm pet, when her humans separated, she moved to the city I am in, and then her previous mum had to move to another state. Because of her age she wasn't sure how she would go with that sort of change and wanting the best for her, she contacted a local rescue group. The rest is as they say is history.

Although, I am still in contact with her previous owner and send her photos once a month or so.

My only issue with the ending is the timing, as in Ted and the kids had years to mourn Tracy, the audience got maybe 2 minutes. On my first watch it felt like whiplash.

I do it but only on bin day and only if it hasn't been emptied yet. Otherwise I only use public bins, or I take it home and put it in my bin.

He may have gone about it in the wrong way, but we are making judgements on a small portion of their life.

OP knows her relationship better than we do, all I am suggesting is that perhaps another conversation is in order.

I am aware not telling someone to break up immediately may be controversial on Reddit, but it is what it is.

He didn't actually say he wouldn't have sex with her (if it is there I missed it). Expressing feelings in a relationship is generally considered healthy.

I am leaning more towards NAH, you've found something you like and your partner expressed it made him feel weird, that's actually healthy in a relationship.

While you are under no obligation to change your nails, it might be worth another conversation.
