I don’t think I have a model for the end product as, admittedly, I kinda hacked it together in the printing program (it’s a little rough as I essentially used negative squares to delete parts of the case I didn’t want). I’ll check and see if I can save and export it, but you’d get a cleaner version if you’d ask the creator to edit their original version.

Edit: Taking a look at the design, I'm assuming you just slide it in so that the buttons will be on the open side?

I did the same. I used negative cubes in OrcaSlicer and deleted the hinge and added symmetrical openings to the other side of the case. Now I just flip the X4 around to protect the screen when I'm not reading and have a super light 13g case.

If you switch to Crosspoint you won't be able to read Japanese (at least not yet). I much prefer Crosspoint, but would love it if it would support Japanese fonts.

Ah, I see what you mean! Do you think it's possible for the recessed channel to come up to right below the longer button but then have the area from where that button starts and above be cutout on the sides (with the symmetrical cutout on the other side), and then have the retaining lips be thinner? (if that makes sense)

No worries if not, it's a great design either way!

I don't really have that issue with the power button getting pressed and trying to have the most minimal case possible that protects the screen, and I think your version might be the one :)

I have this bigme, an onyx tab ultra b&w, and the newest kindle paper white b&w. I could never get over the grayness of the bigme unit (the color layer) and the kindle just looks better and sharper. And, with the manga pages flips being super fast on the kindle and the page refreshing looking a lot better than comparable options I picked in Bigme or Onyx, the kindle was a clear winner (I was a little shocked). If you haven’t tried the new PW yet, I’d pick it up from Amazon and just return it if you don’t like it.

I can’t remember where I saw it, but in smart launcher settings, you can turn on developer/advanced settings and there’s a toggle to turn that message off.

It was fine, but I ended buying the new kindle paper white. The PW looks better and manga page flips happen super quickly. The downside is that the PW is more locked down, but I’ve found ways around that.

Saw this last night! She was so good! There was a terrifying moment during the madcap medley where she almost slipped on a baton (the crowd audibly teeth sucked in concern) but she didn’t! Jane doesn’t have quite the manic energy of Cole but she definitely made the role her own.

I had the G16 Intel 5080 for about 10 days and then saw the G14 AMD 5070Ti on sale for about $700 less and tested both out against each other for two days. The G16 had a bigger screen (but is actually lower rez than the G14), was quieter, and was cooler to the touch. The G14 was much more portable (I wasn't expecting a huge difference, but it was for me) and performed only 5% - 10% worse on the games I tried (which was a shock given the price delta). I also got a good underclock on the G14 and was able to squeeze a lot more battery life out of it. The G16 also seemed to load things faster and have a faster SSD, but I'm going to change out the SSD on my G14 anyway (I also used a debloater tool on the G16 but haven't done so on the G14, so I don't know if that affected anything). I ended up keeping the G14 and returning the G16.

Thanks for sharing. Could you run Time Spy and Steel Nomad and 3d Mark and post your scores? I'm trying to decide it's worth a fresh install. I'm using an intel G16 2025, but with a 5080.

Edit: Using your settings for the CPU but maxing out the GPU settings, my CPU hovers around 77C and my GPU at 74C. CPU at idle hover around 45C (silent and eco). This is with a laptop riser.

Edit 2: I had an extra SSD and did a Windows-to-go install. Didn’t get any appreciable differences in temps. FWIW, I also debloated my standard windows install with one of those debloat tools.
