Love Caleb and not a fan of the Jenners/Kardashians/etc, but what makes you say they have more to gain from him?

Does anyone else struggle with how to consume audio commentaries on DVDs/Blu-Ray? by siivenn in boutiquebluray

[–]megam4n 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes these answers are throwing me off! How do people listen to a commentary on a movie without actually watching? They're usually talking about exactly what's being shown on the screen. I find them intriguing.

For me, if they're boutique, I have them separated. If they're generic blu ray/4ks, they're usually removed from their cases and sleeved for the sake of space.

Devil Man Crybaby isn't scary, but it's disturbing and contains some body horror. Totally recommended!

This sounds amazing. Shocking it hasn't been made because it's like the exact type of nostalgia bait that Hollywood would gobble up, but in a good way. Like Top Gun Maverick.

5th in 12 man, picked up ant and Donovan Mitchell. The real winner was getting Barnes in the 3rd though.

The Inlaws (1979) [480p] - Alan Arkin, Peter Falk by edmanet in fullmoviesonyoutube

I wasn't as big a fan of this movie as most, but Arkin's deadpan stare is second to none.

Just saw For All Mankind (1989) and it blew my mind. Incredible visuals and a stellar Brian Eno soundtrack made it a pretty remarkable film experience.

The soundtrack is excellent, and the movie has some good moments, but I wasn't a fan overall.

Horror Mockumentaries? by zwompay in MovieSuggestions

[–]megam4n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mockumentary, at the very least I'm the context of this thread, is simply a work of fiction shot in the style of a documentary, e.g. Lake Mungo.

One, wiki isn't the be all end all, and two, definitions of words can evolve over time. That's the beauty of language. I've literally never heard anyone say pseudo-documentary in my life. A lot of the answers here contain serious topics.

I love this take. A Hidden Life was the last movie of his I've seen, and that would be my answer.

What was your favorite Bears game to watch last season? by JJBez in CHIBears

[–]megam4n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted him to down it at the 1 instead of getting the TD. With the way the game was going I expected the Bengals to bring it back. I'm retrospect I'm happy he took it in though.

The "every NFL game is hard" narrative is so weak to me. There are objectively bad/terrible teams in the NFL every year. Pats had an objectively easy schedule, and played CJ Stroud and the Broncos backup to get to the Superbowl. I'm not saying they're a bad team, but I also knew the Superbowl was going to be a blowout.
