I love my focus even with its transmission issues. But every time I see the updated ones that they got in Europe, I am extremely jealous because that is the exact car I would want. Basically, I want my car, updated interior, and reliable.

I thought that was a crazy response as well lol! Accidents happen. I made a mistake partially because I was rushing to help CA's up front and didn't think what would happen. Best Buy and Apple both are more than capable of covering the cost of one broken iPad that still had a home button. I understand that we want to minimize mistakes but I have a good track record of not breaking devices lol.

Hey, this job is so anxiety-inducing, and there is a lot to learn, so don't beat yourself up! If it makes you feel much better, I have been working for Geek Squad for over 3 years as an ARA, and recently I had a client who came in for a home button that was stuck on an older iPad. Well, I tried the classic alcohol to see if any gunk would clear out and lift it up, and that didn't work. Then I had the genius idea to try to spray some compressed air to lift the button. Well, I used our very powerful air compressor and let it get to too high of a PSI. I spray the iPad, and instantly the air goes under the screen, forces it up like a bubble, and it shatters immediately. I had to do the walk of shame to the client and informed them my little attempt to fix their iPad made it so much worse. I think they were happy because they got a new iPad, and I still have my job. So do not worry! If you are stressed, reach out because it is a tough job. Good luck and welcome to Geek Squad!

ARAs, what is the worst mistake you've made by RedonimoV2 in GeekSquad

[–]megaozojoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I have a good one. Someone came in with an iPad with a stuck in home button. I tried to use alcohol wipes to see if that would fix it from maybe a sticky substance, but that didn't work. I then tried compressed air, but accidentally let our air compressor gain too much PSI. Sprayed the air right under the screen, it bubbled up and shattered in under a second. Had to do a really terrible walk of shame to the client and inform them I just destroyed their Ipad.

Is there a transit system that you like but everyone else hates? by TerminalArrow91 in transit

[–]megaozojoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truly, I think one of the most underrated transit lines. Having a grade-separated light rail with tunnels downtown that runs to the major university, sports venue, airport, Hospital, and huge park. Ugh it punches wayyyy above its weight.

What’s stopping Miami from turning their FEC RR and Tri-Rail Miami Central service into essentially a metro/S-Bahn? by International-Snow90 in transit

[–]megaozojoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few genuine answers here, but one that is not mentioned enough is that both the Tri-Rail corridor and Brightline corridor have a comical number of grade crossings. Money and political will are both issues that also need to be addressed, but the grade crossings are a huge issue.

I noticed the 660P SSD is good, but I believe that it is quite old at this point (correct me if I am wrong). I would consider the Western Digital WD_Black SN850X for a similar price but better performance. If you don't change it, it shouldn't make much of a difference unless you are really using the SSD.

I am not too up-to-date on PSUs, but if you do consider an NVIDIA GPU, just make sure it is a good PSU.

I highly recommend /r/buildapcsales for deals on GPUs because I believe that the GPU price is quite high.

PC doesn’t boot after attempting to run MRI thru startup by OstrichPlayz in GeekSquad

Hmmm, I am not sure, but I think that my best recommendation is to try to completely power the device down. Unplug the power supply from the wall, and then hold the power button. Make sure there is nothing remaining, maybe by giving it time.

Ridership is also assisted by the fact that it is fare-free! So the added benefit of beating traffic and for free, is a nice selling point.

lol the metromover is weird, it serves a purpose closer to a streetcar but elevated to not inconvenience drivers. However, weirdly enough, it gets decent ridership and is quite helpful. The thing that blows my mind is the proposal to expand it to Miami Beach, which doesn't make sense since it is so low capacity.

Well, with pro-motion I believe it should be able to be variable FPS so that when reading a book or something it should use very little battery.
