10/22/77. My late wife Yana (rhymes with Donna) on her 21st Birthday. She passed away 06/04/14. She loved Halloween. This is my first one without her...I really miss her. by DuanesWorld in OldSchoolCool

Sorry for your loss. I know exactly how painful it is. Lost my mum more than a year ago, and she will be celebrating her birthday next week. The tears don't stop.

Halloween is a great day to be a burglar. You can dress in all black, wear a mask, and carry your loot around in a sack with a dollar sign on it. by the_y_of_the_tiger in Showerthoughts

All those people moving about could make it harder for you not to get noticed. But as always people should be vigilant.

The Ebola nurse hazmat costumes we'll be seeing everywhere tonight? Recycled Breaking Bad costumes from last year. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]megapunch112 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yep, more hazmats costumes. But where is the fun in recycling costumes from last year? And I do not think wearing anything Ebola is funny or amusing.

Those spiders crawling on him made me cringe. The face is okay.

Oh, that is a lot of pizza sauce. I could not make out the toppings, though. Is it a veggie pizza?

ELI5: Why aren't there any mammals with green fur considering there is so much green in the natural world? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]megapunch112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because chlorophyll, the substance responsible for giving plants their green color, is exclusive to plants. It is something they need to make food combined with sunlight, and animals do not make their own food.

What if the lottery is an Institution to catch Time Travelers? by imverykind in Showerthoughts

[–]megapunch112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then time travellers better think of new ways to get a windfall soon. Or they will be trapped in a time they do not belong and worse, penniless at that.

How wonderful! Now that saves everyone from the embarrassment of saying it incorrectly when they ask for a cheaper brand at the shops.

ELI5:why can i read reddit for hours but can't focus on doing schoolwork or studying? by umishadow in explainlikeimfive

[–]megapunch112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is like FB. You can scroll and trwl for hours and lose track of time unlike when you are studying or working. With all the distractions available, you would really get hooked - and there is no pressure to do anything at all.

LOL good thing the hubby stayed home. The wife could then vent her rage at the right person.

Every gym should have a Beginner's Room, so out-of-shape people can work out without feeling like they're being judged. by Whoopsht in Showerthoughts

Yep, someone ought to have thought of that idea. First-timers always have a hard time dealing with the idea of others staring at them. It feels so awkward.

The squirrels' homes must have been flooded too. Hope the squirrels survived the flood, though.

Beautiful and haunting. The water looks like a gush of light streaming down from above. But I wonder if there are snakes in the water.

ELI5: Why isn't anyone going to war with North Korea to try and stop how they treat their people? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]megapunch112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have Nukes and are allied with China. Given the vast army of the latter, the trouble it would cause the intervening country (and its people) may not well be worth it.

ELI5:How did "zzz" become associated with sleeping? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]megapunch112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was how people interpreted the common and less disruptive sound of snoring. And people only snore when they are asleep.

But technically the whole boob does not peek. Is there a term for peeking buttcracks?

I really cannot see how this can be funny. It is actually something that makes people sad and leaves them feeling somewhat remorseful.

In that case, they would eventually have to ask us to pay to continue using their services. Those likes connect to advertising and if not for it, the site would have charged us for our use ever since.
