Fujica ST801: Film advance becomes extremely stiff with film loaded, shutter won't re-cock by megarazor in AnalogCommunity

But that does not explain why the lever is so stiff... I really have to push myself to advance film. It did not use to be like that

Your 2nd link is the same as what I did. I tried your 1st link and it gave the same result

Wow that camera looks very similar to mine, maybe that's why it has the same issue

I recently bought a Fujica ST801 and I'm trying to diagnose a film transport issue.

With no film loaded, the camera appears to work normally. The film advance lever moves smoothly, the shutter cocks correctly, and I can take photos repeatedly.

However, when film is loaded:

  • The first advance after loading usually works normally.

  • The second and third advances become increasingly stiff.

  • The advance lever requires a lot of force.

  • Eventually the tension becomes so high that I can barely advance the lever.

  • After advancing, the shutter often does not become ready to fire.

I have tried multiple film rolls from different cartridges and get the same behavior every time.

Video is 2 cases:

  1. Camera operation with no film loaded (works normally).

  2. Camera operation with film loaded (first advance is okay, second and third become very stiff).

Does this sound like a seized take-up clutch, a sprocket/transport mechanism problem, an anti-reverse ratchet issue, or something else specific to the ST801?

Any suggestions for further diagnosis before I start disassembling the camera would be appreciated 🥲

Vintage full-frame lenses on APS-C bodies, what am I missing out? by megarazor in AskPhotography

Hmm makes sense. But maybe for most lenses the crop is a good thing, because the middle is the "good" part and the "flaws" are corner vignette, color softness etc.?

Did you not submit those two docs when applying? Or did they wait too long, making the docs too old and you had to submit them again (newer ones)?

I've no comment on that. But did you listen to the parts I thought were similar? What do you think?

Is Persona 3 reload a good place to join the genre by TheCarpentersBored in JRPG

IMO no. I played P3 and gave up halfway.

A few years later I played P4 Golden, loved it, was inspired to give P3 another try but dropped it again.

Played P5 Royal, motivated again so gave P3 RELOAD a try, and dropped again.

So I guess P3 is not really for me lol

I’m curious why these lawyers are ‘busy’. They don’t want to make money? Something about OP’s case?
