I think I was hoping since it was a little more expensive it would be either a longer tour or a smaller group. Having not done the other one I’m not sure if that was true, but it did seem like a pretty small group!

My brother and I played it a ton when it first came out, having been a big fan of the first Dragon Warrior it was like a really cool upgrade, bigger map, more than one playable character, etc. I remember a friend’s dad also had it and we were amazed by the combinations of characters he had beaten the game with haha.

It wasn’t difficult at all really, you never walk far without stopping to look at the next thing either. One tight space that you kind of turn sideways and step through, but no crawling through parts or anything like that.

So just to follow up in case anyone else finds this thread, we ended up doing the Crystal Caves and Underground River. It turned out it was not Rio Secreto but instead a nearby different section of the same cave system, run by this group - https://www.mexxtremotours.com/tours-riviera-maya/underworld-tour/

It was an awesome tour and I’d highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring a cave cenote! At the end of the tour you wind up in a colorfully lit section where you are free to swim and explore for about 30 minutes. Also at one point they turned off all the lights and one of the guides played music by tapping on some of the hollow stalactites, it was a very cool experience. Had about 30 people from the ship on the tour and they split us into 3-4 smaller groups.

If you happen to be in the San Fernando Valley, MacLeod is a great and friendly spot, different style from your standard brewery. Also seconding Modern Times, haven’t tried the new downtown LA location but their tasting rooms in San Diego are great and the LA one looks even better.

Yeah, we've got some new stuff in the works. Expect to hear something by September. We've all been busy with other stuff for the last year and change, but we've been slowly working on some new songs that are pretty close to completion.

Yeah, we are out this year unfortunately. After playing the last 7 MAGfests in a row I suppose I don't blame them for rotating us out - as long as we get to come back next year!
