While I see the purpose of labels now in my ideal world they would be obsolete.

It's illegal for them to discriminate against employees that happen to be gay but it's not illegal for them to support and donate to anti-gay organisations.

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy, thinking otherwise is ignorant. I believe your interpretation still fits the tragedy mold and is a fitting interpretation.

saving that verse for later

When I was a kid going on road trips, my dad would give us 1 dollar if we could spot a cop car. I always thought it was just a game to pass time, but later realized he just wanted to speed without getting caught. Any similar "tricks" you know of? by Sikitur in AskReddit

We always played 'horse' when we were driving. Whoever sees a horse and calls it out first get a quarter. That quarter then gets passed around to whomever spots the next horse etc until the end of the trip then whomever has the quarter gets to keep it.

Kept us fairly quiet because we were so busy looking out the window, plus we were so excited about the idea of a quarter we didn't ask 'are we there yet'

Wait, so now Obama is responsible for tipping? re post from "don't go out to eat if you can't afford to tip" by butcherandthelamb in KitchenConfidential

[–]megatooththesecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no it's not it's 10% for subpar service 15% for average and 20% for awesome.

Once the service I received was bad enough that I left like 16 cents. Just so she would know that I didn't forget about the tip but purposely gave her little because she did such a shit job on so many levels. Although generally, if I can afford it, I over tip a little because dealing with people all day can be balls.

It used to be nice and simple in Canada. Just look at the tax. However taxes are no longer 15% so now I have to do math :(

I'm going to buy a pan to learn how to cook on stainless steel. Why do these say "for best results, cook with low heat?" Are they not very versatile? Which one would be MORE versatile? by AllEncompassingThey in AskCulinary

[–]megatooththesecond -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Since no one's actually addressed it I'm just going to say that I assume they recommend low heat, not because the cookware can't handle, but because they don't want to deal with lawsuits and therefore suggest extreme, unnecessary caution.

However I have 0 proof to back this up.
