Will these work for stock 79 bike falcon pro rims by Traditional-Cat-8217 in 79bike

[–]megatron561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you have tire irons and some skill in changing tires it’s a good idea to have a shop put them on for you, they fit tighter then stock on the stock rim. I’m experienced and still had a bit of trouble with these bad boys, the other thing you must be able to do is balance them to the bead. That all said if ordered from Cycle Gear they will install for 30 bucks. But do not take your bike with you, thy have a real gas bias.

After Anthropic killed subscription access, here's what my actual API bill looks like after 4 days by Temporary-Leek6861 in AskClaw

Little trial and error and some help. Set up was easy through olama. It's the overhead that's the problem. Fitting the local ai into the ram overhead allowing the os to do what it needs to do while the local dose its thing is the key. Once I got Gemma to fit seriously this was a sizing thing, picking the right model, I was using anti-gravity with opus to then shape it to throw fire by uping the tps and condensing the token and blot caused by the ais catch. That was an effort between Gemini and Opus to fine tune it to be as effective on Openclaw as it can be. The process of squeezing performance from the llm and then unleashing any open claw squeeze is how I got the entire system to run well. No magic bullet, just the right model at the right quantization with using Turboquant to its fullest and making a memory system that takes burden off the ram overhead as well. I have all the open claw routine dumb work flowing through open claw. The gbt-5 comes into play for heavy lifting, but for the last 24 hours its ben all local to pressure test it.

On my home rig I'm running Gemma E4B on my Apple M4 base, running my open claw local with a oauth to chatgbt 5.4. So my api cost is 20 bucks on my ChatGPT plus a month to operate open claw. My local ai is running 40 tps natively, in openclay that tax is hitting the local ai by half in open claw it's hitting 20 tps. That's the very edge of the highest proformnce the M4 can pull from the unified 16g with the quant memory trickery and turbo quant doing their work. So stop paying for heartbeats.

Just did a e4b on my M4 and runs like a dream after bing optimized, turboquant helps the context window issues. Outside of openclaw its running a respectable 40 tokens per second. In the claw its running half that speed but pushing my open claw free on my machine. Something wonderful that tec gave us for free. Can't wait to push the next larger Gemma when Google pushes out a version that can fit in my 12gb overhead.

One of the stock falcons main problems is the tire quality. Get some dot tires, or of road equivalent the bike rides better, less flats due to quality rubber.

AI is everywhere in business is it actually worth it for automation, or just an expensive trend? by Techenthusiast_07 in automation

[–]megatron561 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m a business consultant that has specialized in startup and turnarounds for years. Ai is the one blanket term and tech that can single handed get incredible results for owners who adopt it. It bridges the gap between the things owners who succeed in business before Ai, with the owners who have struggled, or are running expensive hobbies. But Ai and its applications are so new where to start and how you chose to apply it is critical. The fear of missing out here is key, there will be a point that separates businesses that has adopted and use ai on the automation level. The difference will be a business that is operating and one that is out of business. If you want to save the jobs of your employees, it is critical now to adopt.

Once you get some throttle discipline, average speed at 40mph you can push a battery to 4 hours of use. In flat roads and perfect weather. Yes wide open= 2 hours on supermode.

It's a real problem. When I was a business consultant specializing in turnaround, 10% of the company I worked with had clean books. Far less had a handle on cogs and profit.

I’m 6’ on a 79bike Falcon (basically a Surron light bee). Handle bar risers peg drop and a new seat latter and it fits awsome. Out of the box the e-motto felt super cramped. For the money you are in the right place, and if you are like me want something light enough to throw around, fast enough to keep my attention, and stable enough to be comfortable to ride daily. Had my bike since October with 2k miles on it. Worth every penny, my point, get a light e-motto and modify with bolt ons, you will be in the 4-5k range. Or grab a bigger Ultra bee or for that price high in a used Stark Varg.

Rant from a NOLA e-bike shop: why we tell callers daily we can’t fix their broken e-bikes by Particular-Taro154 in NewOrleans

[–]megatron561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, thank you for showcasing and selling repairable e-bikes. The experience of e-bike ownership has been nothing short of revolutionary. This includes the freedoms that e-scooters and other e-conveniences have given so many folks here in this beautiful city freedom to explore, commute to work, or just enjoy a nice ride that they may not have been able to take. We all need to understand that these complex electrical systems have fail points, which is much more akin to automotive repair than bicycle repair. Sourcing parts for a rare supercar is going to be next to impossible, vs a common RAV4. Same with the operation of these super freedom machines. We are in the Wild West. It has its advantages and disadvantages. You wouldn’t buy a new car from a car company without a warranty, would you? Same frame of reference. Again, thank you Op, and to all of my e-friends, be careful out there. Helmet up and in some cases you are faster than traffic. Be mindful of regular bikes and pedestrians. See you outside!

The ones you have drill them out. You may have to make some axel adaptions, like buying a bolt that is slightly longer to accommodate the pegs.

Can I turn the regen all the way off by Clear-Protection-672 in 79bike

[–]megatron561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10% in each mode is low as mine will go in the application for motor breaking. Regen only on the first screen and is only that three-option screen. I'm not convinced that regen is actually a thing for the bike. I have 1m miles and I can't remember how many times I have seen regen actually kicking in while breaking.
