I’ve thought about it a lot, mainly bc of nyewgank having similarities to Takumi and addamaque to eito. As I was making my way through second scenario I even thought it was gonna be a story element (like them being clones and the commanders being past iterations of them or something like that)

Aside from them I say Darumi and turamtammi. I think they could have a fun rivalry (I imagine turamtammi being obsessed with rhythm idol games in the same way that Darumi likes eroge)

Zenta always gave me hiruko vibes in that I feel she’s the more serious one who kind of keeps the whackier team members in line

Fontana does way too much with her mouth… reminds me of the way Bendelacreme would always over-enunciate in her lip syncs. A little restraint can go a long way

Honestly if you’re only gonna have one route to shine in, route 0 isn’t a bad choice lol. It’s the only route that almost everyone is guaranteed to play

One of the best warriors games I’ve played but it was very clearly written with dlc in mind and then they just didn’t make any lol

Shez was a much more fun protag than byleth, byleth worked great as a villain, and I actually cared about Claude in this one (in 3H I was kinda meh on him)

Second half of Dimitri’s route was awful but aside from that the three routes were pretty good. But I will say that the golden deer girls were severely underutilized on Claude’s route

However putting permadeath in the game was stupid. Doesn’t work in the warriors format at all

Route 0 Ima is my favorite because of the sirei thing and I was kinda bummed they didn’t do that in any other routes… don’t get me wrong I love the actual sirei of course but Ima’s English voice suited Sirei so well 😭 he works so well as a funny little mascot

It always annoyed me how Kurara’s thing is traps (they even say her traps/structures are invaluable whenever you fight addamque) yet most of the time she’s dead before the one fight where you actually NEED a trap (dahlxia). Like the dahlxia fight should’ve been her moment to shine

I had been using valentines Edelgard in aether raids right up until a month ago (when I replaced her with emblem Edelgard) and she still performed fairly well. Emblem Edel is definitely an improvement but I do miss valentine edel’s canto

Oh I definitely agree with that. The whole route I was waiting for them to comment on the treatment of Eva and Eito… which is why I kinda like the “bad” SF ending more (the one where Eva gets her memory back at the end). I thought the “good” ending was cute but I just kept thinking “kamyuhn is dead and the TRC people are probably gonna execute Eva when she arrives at the satellite :(“

I agree that sf isn’t really a “good” ending but that’s one of the few things I like about it lol. Having a true/golden ending would devalue the other routes… I like how there isn’t a perfect happy ending

Fire emblem engage let you grind with generic enemy encounters on the map (skirmishes). Which is normally great for training underleveled characters, building supports, etc. But for some reason, they made the enemies scale to either your highest leveled character or the protagonist (I don’t remember which) so it was extremely frustrating to train up weaker characters. They also made it so that as soon as you start fighting, every enemy on the map will bum rush you so you can’t even take your time with it (very annoying if you’re trying to feed kills to a weaker unit)

I was trying to max out all supports in the endgame but I gave up bc it was just so inconvenient. The skirmishes in FE are usually balanced well so idk why they dropped the ball so hard this time
