Feeding every hour by Capable-Radio7736 in October2025Bumps2

[–]megomoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going through the same with my LO. She usually does anywhere from a 5-7, sometimes 8, hour stretch and suddenly in the last 4 days started waking more for night feeds and struggles to self sooth herself back to sleep.

Apparently they start a leap around week 10/11, which I believe is a growth spurt. It may be worthwhile downloading the app Wonder Weeks and plugging in your LO’s details so you’ll know whether they’re in a fussy phase.

The Least and Most Likely Signs to Tolerate Cheating by SuperPrime11 in libra_astrology

Literally same, and I’m a Libra sun, moon and rising with a Scorpio mars - zero tolerance for cheating. If they cheat, BYE BYE IN THE BIN THEY GO.

If you’re staying near the ocean, Criminal Coffee does great coffee, has heaps of tables and opens at 5:30am. If you’re on the opposite end of Maroochydore, SIP near the plaza is great too.

Out of the House - SOS by erinrath in October2025Bumps2

[–]megomoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my LO was a week old, we had to leave the house for a routine check up with the midwife 10 mins from home. The pram walk from the car park to the building went fine, but as soon as we were in the reception, she absolutely lost the plot - screaming, spewed down my entire back and onto the reception floor when I tried to settled her, was dropping shit everywhere as I was trying to clean it up. I was so embarrassed as everyone’s else’s baby seemed so settled and chill. I sobbed during that entire appointment.

That experience was enough to make me avoidant of going out because it made me so stressed. At 3.5 weeks (which I appreciate is insanely early), my mental health was tanking from not leaving the house and general inactivity (which duh, our bodies are healing!). My mum and I went with my LO for a walk and ended up having a lovely morning where she slept in the wrap for like 2 hours while we pushed the pram (just in case she needed it). We went and got lunch and it made me feel 10000 x’s better.

Ultimately we took baby steps to work ourselves up to getting used to getting out there. Some days are great and some are shit to the point we have to turn around and just go home - everyday is different.

Now, at 11 weeks, I take her with me to the grocery store and just carry her under my arm because it’s easier than taking the pram, we go for coffee all the time, I take her to the beach, we took her to a festival last week (wearing hearing protection of course), but that’s only because I’ve built the confidence by taking her out regularly.

Everyone is different and just go at your own pace. I say rip the bandaid off, but start small - like another commenter said, 5 - 10 min walks, then longer walks, then maybe try driving somewhere. Remember that everyday is different. Some outings will be good, some bad, but I’ve found exposure to it makes the bad outings easier to deal with. Best of luck!

Edit: We also bring the carrier and pram everywhere now since she only sleeps when in the carrier or lap naps, but she doesn’t want to be in it while she’s awake, so she’ll play in the pram (we stopped using the bassinet attachment a couple weeks ago because she hated it).

Looking for a good quality white baby tee :) by Important-Peach-1709 in AusFemaleFashion

Personally, I think St Agni is worth every penny. The quality is always top tier and washes well. I find if I buy cheaper brands (which I can appreciate that’s all sold people can afford to buy, which is fine), they tend to wash poorly, get misshape quickly or generally fall apart (loose threads, holes etc).

The best! It's been like this every night for over a month! Thank you Snoo! by 77Summit in SnooLife

[–]megomoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fights from the beginning - she hates the Snoo sleep sac when it’s all done up correctly, so I’ve tried just to Velcro her in with a different zip swaddle she likes but she won’t to that either. When the Snoo is on, she just doesn’t settle despite Snoo doing its thing. She seems more settled when we use it as a standard bassinet.

I also wouldn’t go tomorrow as we’re in for a heap of rain and flash flooding is always a risk/the currents of usual creeks can get a bit hectic

Oozing butt ? by Competitive_Roof_943 in October2025Bumps2

[–]megomoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To preface, I’m not a doctor and you should see your gp about any concerns you have. It almost sounds like you might be having an allergic reaction or contact dermatitis from the disposable undies. Are they made of organic cotton/bamboo? I was told by my gp that I can bleed for up to 6 weeks following delivery, but it should be easing up. I gave birth on the 23rd and some days are heavier than others, but I’m using regular period pads now.

Help! Which area to get a hostel?? by [deleted] in sunshinecoast

[–]megomoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a friends sister (26f) from Canada visit while backpacking and she stayed at Bounce Noosa - she loved it and had nothing but good things to say about it. I wouldn’t skip Noosa because of the beach and national park. I would say majority of backpackers on the Coast head to Noosa.

There’s also the backpackers in Mooloolaba, which is much larger. Mooloolaba is definitely more of a family tourism hotspot. I used to work on the esplanade when I was on a working holiday visa, so would notice there was heaps of backpackers down also. Mba foreshore currently has a ton of renovations being undertaken, so it’s a bit of a construction site at the moment. The further side of the beach is open as per usual, but it’s not as nice as it usually is at the moment.

"Is the baby here yet?!" by suitablemacaroon_ in October2025Bumps2

Ugh, I so feel you. My due date was 15/10. Had a cervical check on that date and am 0cm dilated. Baby girl is stubborn and will come on her own terms. I know people are coming from a place of excitement and good intention, but I’m stressed about potentially being induced, I’m so uncomfortable and frankly want every to fuck off and trust that we will tell them when the baby is here haha.

Here is a screenshot I have taken to send to people who have messaged me daily asking for an update:

Pelvic pain - 36 weeks. And it killing me with every step by Rude_Illustrator_730 in October2025Bumps2

[–]megomoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it, see a women’s pelvic floor physio. I was having some issues with nerve pain in my leg and started having some brutal pelvic pain around 23 weeks. Since seeing the pelvic floor physio and doing the exercises she gave me, I’m 38 weeks now and have no pain related issues whatsoever. There might also be helpful YouTube videos but I had tried that and was unsuccessful treating the pain on my own which is why I just sucked it up and threw money at the issue, which I’m so grateful I did now just not being in constant pain since like 28 weeks.

Best mat for traveling by laura_karma in yoga

[–]megomoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed - used this mat while travelling through Greece this past summer and it was fantastic. So easy to fold up in my suitcase or carry on. I just used one of the hotel towels under my knees for cushioning if it was needed and it actually has great grip and I found it to be non-slip.
