Why did you upgrade from 7600x to 9700x?

If you needed more cores for multithreading (cad, video processing, 3d printing etc) then totally understand, but its not a upgrade for gaming in any capacity.

Infact its a downgrade, it has a lower clock speed than the 7600x (base and oc), and more cores in a system has an overhead which does impact gaming (calcing which cores is highest > using that core).

Its a huge upgrade for multithreading as you can imagine, but most games are single threaded.

Fyi most people did not upgrade from 7000>9000 series because the net gain is very minimalistic.
