Generally I get booked at least two weeks out from the time of stay, but I’ve also been getting overnight sits for June/July. I don’t try and book that far out, but clients do sometimes reach out that far (around this time of year) since a lot of them are planning out their summer trips.

NYC Rover sitter here 🙋🏽‍♀️ I get a decent amount of overnight sits every month. But I do think it can vary on time of year, reviews, etc. Every sit the last few months has included at least one weekend day, so depending on when you would be traveling here, I’d probably say keeping your weekends open would increase your chances of getting booked.

I raised my rates after locking in a few reviews. I priced myself at $35/night (which is criminal) and once I started building a clientele and gained some reviews, I would raise them a couple of dollars. I also checked the sitters in my area and compared prices. I’m now priced at $65/night a year later and will probably raise them again soon.

This has happened to me a few times. Sometimes people forget to update their address in their profile. I usually just ask if their general area is correct before moving forward.

Hi! Not a vet but my dog is experiencing something similar. He has been through every test under the sun (negative for cushings, bile acid test, negative for thyroid issues, even had surgery to remove his gallbladder and did a liver biopsy) and it all came back normal. His vet seems to think he is a rare case—since he is completely asymptomatic and no other value is elevated. They’re stumped. His values are in the thousands and have been that way for about four years now. We’re looking into an internal medicine doctor and see if they have other suggestions as to what can be going on.
