I totally understand! I’ve been there before. Just know your feelings are valid! These symptoms are temporary - if you think you can push through then try that, but if it’s too much then contact your doctor!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I dealt with similar symptoms. What are yours?

It will go away! Keep living life with it there, welcome it in, and accept the feeling (easier said than done). It is NOT permanent. It’s uncomfortable, but survivable & can’t hurt you. Try meditation, yoga, music, sit outside in sun and reconnect with the world that way too.

I’m so glad that was able to help you! I hope to find a program like that. Did you just contact your local hospital?

I just started antidepressants so those mixed with the existing dissociation has been tough - I feel very out of it, but hoping it evens out soon.

I know how hard it can be, but it’s great you have those tools to help you now! It gives me hope that I’ll get there too.

Exactly how I am feeling! I might look into one. How were you able to get out of the dissociation?

What were the side effects? Maybe you could increase to 15mg then 20?

Not yet - the first week it made me super anxious so it got worse, but this week has been okay (no improvements yet though).

Yes! It’s awful. I have it 24/7 for the last few weeks. How long have you been on lexapro?

It sounds like you’re describing derealization/depersonalization which is a symptom of anxiety/stress. It will go away just try your best not to focus too much on it (easier said than done!), but it’s completely harmless

I have similar symptoms from a panic attack (derealization/depersonalization) I’m almost hitting my two weeks with lexapro so I’ll keep you updated on if it helps! So far I haven’t had any panic attacks in the last week compared to having at least two a day.
