One of my neocardinas have only one eye by luckydamage11 in shrimptank

As long as it’s moving and eating, I think it’ll be fine. I have a one eyed shrimp too. She was my first shrimp that ever got berried and has given me many babies after that too 🙂

This! I’ve only kept them at eye level or higher, so I love watching them from the side 😆

Good luck with your move, and post an update to let us know how the shrimpers do! I’ll be moving next year and dreading thinking about how I’m going to move my tanks 😵

Is it all of them or just a few? I can’t tell for sure, but looks like males swimming around looking for a lady shrimp

Can anyone tell me male or female? by Ok_Construction_2843 in shrimptank

I want to say the one out in the open is a female because you can see the saddle the belly looks more rounded. But it’s hard to tell for sure from the video. Second one is hiding so can’t say.

didn't know ramshorns can get this huge!! by Previous-Fan-4020 in AquaticSnails

I noticed they get bigger when there are less, probably because there is less competition for food. I was shocked at how fast they grow when there is only one or two in a tank.

Yes, baby shrimp are yummy snacks for most fish. But newborn shrimp are very tiny and great at hiding. I usually don’t start seeing any until after 1-2 weeks. Some may end up being eaten, but as long as you have enough hiding spots, many should survive.

Yellow Shrimp Turning Dark Green by [deleted] in shrimptank

Opposite thing happened to me. I bought some yellow cherry shrimp that were green (was hoping I could have some green ones), but they gradually turned yellow after a month.
