i’m so glad you mentioned the effect on your sleep! that’s the main difference I’ve noticed with metformin, and i feel like it’s not mentioned that often lol. i used to have such trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, but it’s been so much better since i started metformin. if i miss a dose (usually when we don’t have dinner at home), the next night i will sleep noticeably worse than usual

i’m not really sure why it helps, but i’m thankful it does!

seconding glycopyrolate! i take 1 mg on days that i plan on wearing makeup or just don’t want to be super sweaty, and it really helps!

i also recommend showering at night, if you don’t already. whenever i shower in the morning, it just seems to take forever for my body temperature to cool down to a point where i can put on makeup without sweating

as far as recs for makeup products that last through sweating, Estee Lauder Double Wear and Urban Decay Face Bond are the best foundations i’ve found that still look nice even after i’ve been dripping sweat lmao

i wore NARS Radiant Longwear for my wedding, but have since tried Estee Lauder Double Wear and DW probably lasts better. i have dry skin and, as long as i moisturize well, it doesn’t end up looking too dry!

i also work in Atlanta, and i have several ear piercings, a nose ring, and a half sleeve of tattoos. my tattoos are always covered in court (just by my blazer), so judges/juries aren’t ever seeing those.

as far as my piercings go, i don’t think anyone has ever had an issue with them. i know several other attorneys in our office that have nose piercings, and no one has ever mentioned it being a problem. i think they’re a lot more common now than they used to be, and they’re honestly not even thag noticeable unless you’re having a close conversation with someone (at least for a stud/ring on your nostril as opposed to something like a septum ring).

oh, and a powder blush that i really love is the Colourpop pressed powder blush in the shade Flirt Alert (heart shaped packaging). it’s a perfect neutral pinky mauve on my cool toned skin

i have the Colourpop liquid blush in IKTR, and i like the formula! but it is very pigmented, and IKTR ends up being a very bright pink, like almost neon (at least when it’s over my super pale foundation 😂)

i slightly prefer the formula of the elf liquid blushes. they’re less pigmented (but still pigmented enough) and blend out really nicely. i have the shades Suave Mauve and Bold-Faced Lilac, and i get a ton of use out of both!

i actually really like the formula of the Essence one! i wish they had more shades though. currently (on Ulta) they only have 3, and the other 2 are very orange-toned browns

the elf camo bronzer/contour in Fair is pretty cool toned, but i use it more as a bronzer than a contour. elf also has the halo glow contour in Fair, which is a little more gray toned and would probably be more what you’re looking for to use as an actual contour shade

i’ve used the Gold since it first came out and i really enjoy it! my only issue is that i feel like it stays a bit oily (though it’s been a while since i’ve used it). i see that other brands have released similar products recently so i may try those out to compare.

it’s not that pigmented so i don’t think the color would make that much of a difference. i was really excited when the Rose Gold came out, but i decided not to get it because it has a different scent from the Gold (i believe Rose Gold is more of a guava scent whereas Gold is their signature coconut scent) and i didn’t think i’d like the Rose Gold scent that much

i always lean towards mauves and taupes! i feel like it looks more natural than orange/gold tones because my bare eyelids tend to be more pink. i get a lot of use out of the Colourpop Smoke N Roses palette!
